Today's project has it all. A retiring stamp set, a video showing a couple of techniques, and a new take on a continuing stamp set. At the end there's also a sneak peek from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue that goes live on June 3rd. It all started because I wanted to make one last card using the retiring On To Adventure Stamp Set... OFF CAMERA PREPARATIONS In order to keep my video fairly short I decided to do a few things off camera first. Using my Paper Trimmer I cut some Thick ... VIEW POST
Simply Creating My Own Super Bowl
It's Super Bowl Sunday and we're planning a lazy day watching the game. So for my Simple Sunday project I thought I'd create my own super bowl using the Make A Splash Stamp Set. FIRST MAKE YOUR FISH BOWL I began my project with a layer of Whisper White Card and a Smoky Slate ink pad. First I stamped the bowl image towards the bottom, then I added the "Just keep swimming" sentiment towards the top. For the gravel at the bottom I could have used browns and greys but decided on ... A Project For The Golf Club
I've been having such fun playing with parts of the new Country Club Suite. On previous projects I've used the Clubhouse Stamp Set and Country Club Designer Series Paper. Today though I've brought it all together with the addition of the coordinating Golf Club Dies. CLUBHOUSE STAMPING I started my project with some stamping using the Clubhouse Stamp Set and Thick Whisper White Card. First I used Night of Navy ink to stamp the sentiment "You're the greatest guy by par" twice. Then ... VIEW POST
First Project In The Clubhouse
Often when I get a new stamp set I like to try out the images by making small projects. It might be a #simplestamping card, or a gift tag. Today however my 'test' project is a quick bookmark using the Clubhouse Stamp Set. GOLF I'm not a golfer but I do like to watch some of the championships on TV and can even name a few golfers. I'm often struck by the bright colours worn by the players and for some reason pink shirts come to mind. So with that in my head, I set to work. First ... VIEW POST
Another Catalogue Collaboration
Today my blog post is two hours later than usual and I have no excuse other than I had a lie in. The morning started slowly and seems to be continuing in the same vein, not that that's a bad thing. When I got up I had in mind a masculine gift tag, and that's what I made. What I hadn't known at the start that I'd end up with a collaboration using products from the Annual and new Mini catalogues. It's a simple Sunday project that makes me smile. ON TO ADVENTURE I began by cutting a ... VIEW POST
Country Club Colouring Sheet
If you find colouring relaxing then don't overlook the Country Club 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP) Pack. As well as lots of golf-themed designs there are some great geometric patterns that I know I'll use. One of the designs in the Country Club DSP pack is quite different though. It has 12 line-art scenes (4 each of 3 different scenes - sort of) designed so you can leave them as they are or you can colour them. COUNTRY CLUB BACKGROUND I began my project by cutting and scoring ... VIEW POST
