Today’s blog post nearly didn’t happen! We’ve had 24 hours of strong gusty winds and unsurprisingly the power has gone out several times since yesterday. Thankfully the wind has now eased and we’re being treated to a lovely sunny day, albeit a little on the fresh side. So as today is the first Wednesday in the month it means it’s time for another IDEAS Blog Hop. This month our theme is Christmas Crafting and I decided to use the fun Christmas Crew Stamp Set and coordinating dies to make my ... VIEW POST
IDEAS Blog Hop: Christmas Crew
Blends Transformation
I’m having a very busy weekend attending a two-day craft fair at the Lowland Garden Centre in Great Village. I love getting customers’ on the spot feedback of the things I have available for sale. But while it enables me to get ideas for future projects, it doesn’t leave much time for my blog. However I wasn’t going to let that beat me. So in double-quick time I created this autumn-themed bookmark using Stampin’ Blends and the September 2026 Product of the Month; Luxe Foliage Specialty Designer ... VIEW POST
Artisan Sketched By Request
Last weekend I was working at a local bazaar that sells home baking and handcrafted items. It’s where I sell a lot of my finished cards and projects and get to meet the lovely people who purchase them. Although I try to keep a good variety of cards in stock, I wasn’t able to help a lady looking for a simple anniversary card (I only had ones for silver and golden anniversaries). So today I decided to remedy that by making this floral card using the Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper ... VIEW POST
Cutest Dogs
Can you believe we’re almost a third of the way through August already! While it’s still very hot here in Nova Scotia there are subtle signs that autumn is not that far away. That means I need to start working on projects for the various craft fairs I’ll be attending. Each time I receive a request for something with a particular theme, sentiment, or focal image I always make a note. Common requests are for animals and the Cutest Crew Stamp Set is going to be the perfect addition for that. I ... VIEW POST
IDEAS Blog Hop: Sweet Foliage
Oh my goodness it’s too hot to do anything, and it’s forecast to get worse over the next few days. However I’ve used an old trick of shutting all the windows first thing and drawing the curtains. It really does make a difference to how it feels indoors and costs absolutely nothing. When the weather’s like this I can’t even concentrate on crafting. So while I start planning for a craft fair in September instead, here’s a belated birthday card I made last week using the new Sweet Foliage Stamp ... VIEW POST
Fern Made Easy
Looking through my stamps recently I realised that I’ve been neglecting the Fern & Flora Stamp Set. I know that’s hard to believe considering how obsessed I’ve been with this suite. But while I’ve concentrated on the dies and coordinating Moonlit Flora Designer Series Paper (DSP), the stamp set has seen considerably less action. One of the things I loved about the stamp set was the large fern image but for some reason it’s stayed uninked, so today I decided to remedy that with a quick thank ... VIEW POST
