When I started making cards I didn’t understand why people added layers. It really seemed like an unnecessary cost. But as time passed I realised even the simplest layers added interest. That’s why I love Stampin’ Up!s commitment to colour coordination, it makes everything much easier. For example, when designing this card using the Rhino Ready Stamp Set I found a simple background design to match the ink colour. So if you’re looking for 2023-2025 In Color backgrounds, check out the Fresh As A ... VIEW POST
By My Side Revisited
Today’s card is another from my personal “24 cards in 24 hours challenge” for World Card Making Day. This was number 15, and the one that I created just before midnight, prior to taking a 5 hour nap. It’s been ages since I’ve used the By My Side Stamp Set and I have no idea why. I really love the three characters, each one with an animal companion by their side. The only issue I have is how skinny their arms and legs are, which makes fussy cutting somewhat challenging. ABSTRACT ... VIEW POST
Blends On DistINKtive® Images

It actually made the maple trees in our front yard look like they were glowing. Fortunately I quickly snapped a few photos as minutes later the glow was gone. All that was left was a moody sky and more muted autumn colours. That inspired today’s bookmark project using Stampin’ Blends over a DistINKtive stamped ... VIEW POST
Still No Easter Bunny
If you follow me on Facebook you’ll know that I’ve just finished my World Card Making Day challenge. Every year since 2017 I’ve attempted to design and make from scratch, 24 different cards in a single 24 hour period. Once again it was a close call, as I finished that final card with only minutes to spare. Over the coming weeks I’ll showcase each one, and today I wanted to start with this simple card created using a friend sentiment and pretty floral image from the Easter Bunny Stamp ... VIEW POST
Occasions Remembered
During the summer I had a great visit with my daughter and her family in the UK. As well as attending a friend’s wedding, and visiting a London theatre with my eldest granddaughter, I went to the cinema. It was a proper girly day out, just my daughter, eldest granddaughter and me watching the Barbie movie. So when I saw the roller skate image in the Curved Occasions Stamp Set I couldn’t resist making this project. Now every time I open my book I’ll be reminded of that day out. CURVED ... VIEW POST
IDEAS Blog Hop: Joy Of Noel
It’s the first Wednesday of the month and that means it’s time for another IDEAS blog hop. This month our theme is “Christmas Crafting’ and we hope to inspire you to create handmade gifts and cards for those you love. For my contribution I chose the Joy of Noel Stamp Set and coordinating dies and in the IDEAS tutorial bundle there’s a Christmas card and gift card holder. I also made this Christmas card using pretty much all the same products. There’s definitely something about this colour scheme ... VIEW POST
