Yesterday was a glorious day here in Nova Scotia. Hubby was finally able to repair the last of the winter storm damage and I can stop ‘reminding’ him about it. Meanwhile I got three full loads of laundry washed and dried outside. I may be a little odd but I love to see a line full of washing flapping in the breeze. With the chores done I also grabbed some time in my craft studio to create today’s simple Sunday project. Pale Papaya and Mango Melody provided the perfect combination. COLOURED ... VIEW POST
Simple Shades Of Gray
I love experimenting with colour. I often get inspiration from things I see around me, especially clothing and furnishings. Sometimes I’ll be out shopping and suddenly something catches my eye. If you’re close you’ll be able to see me grab my notebook and write down the ‘Stampin’ Up! colours' I see. I might even take a photo as a back-up. Other times I’ve no idea where my colour choices originate. Take today for instance, when I decided to use just Basic Gray and Gray Granite on this poppy gift ... VIEW POST
Mice Thanks On Mother’s Day
It must be my age but time is flying faster than ever. How else can I explain why I completely missed that today is Mother’s Day in Canada? In the UK, Mother’s Day (or Mothering Sunday) is celebrated on the fourth Sunday in Lent, which is most often in March. Of course my daughter in the UK goes by that calendar and we celebrated it then. So instead of Mother’s Day, this week’s simple Sunday project is a cute thank you card created using the Mischievous Mice (Host) Stamp Set. MISCHIEVOUS ... VIEW POST
Happiness Is Not Always Blue
I have to admit that since I got my hands on the 2022-2024 In Colors I’ve been a bit obsessed with the new blue, Starry Sky. But who can blame me, it’s simply gorgeous. However I decided today it was time to do something completely different. So instead of bold blues I went with soft colours for a more romantic feel. The pretty florals of the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set was perfect for what I had in mind. In no time at all I had exactly what I had planned. HAPPINESS ABOUNDS I began this ... VIEW POST
Sneak Peek Recap And More!
At last it’s here! After lots of anticipation the Stampin’ Up! 2022/2023 Annual Catalogue is now live for customers. It’s been fun playing with the products I was able to get during the Demonstrator pre-order period. However starting today I now have the whole catalogue to choose from, and it’s hard to decide what to get first. I’ll probably order a couple of stamp sets, some stand-alone dies and maybe some more paper. But while I wrestle with that dilemma, here’s a quick recap of my recent ... VIEW POST
A Paper Pumpkin Thing: Change Is Beautiful
Change is beautiful especially when winter finally changes to spring. So the April Paper Pumpkin kit was well named with it's caterpillar to butterfly, seedling to flower, and night to day cards. For this month's A Paper Pumpkin Thing blog hop I decided to change one card base into two unique projects. Oh and of course I couldn't resist throwing in a little new catalogue sneak peek too. First up I have this card which uses parts from the kit and a little extra card. I began with the ... VIEW POST
