Stampin' Up! have always been known for their amazing coordination, it's what makes papercrafting using their products so easy. They've taken things up a notch in recent years though with their 'product suites'. Now, as well as coordinating stamps, ink and paper, there's other items too. So when I was looking for a new sentiment I turned to the Memories & More Card Packs. The Memories & More range was quite deliberately named, it's not just a memory keeping solution. The cards and ... VIEW POST
Love You To Pieces for WWYS223
This week the What Will You Stamp Challenge is WWYS223 - Love You To Pieces. It's a fun set with puzzle images and sentiments and it coordinates with the Puzzle Pieces Dies. Of course that's a bit obvious for me, so I thought I'd make something different for my Design Team project. Today I chose the chrysanthemum image from the Love You To Pieces Stamp Set. I had a feeling that the curve of the stem would work well as a circular image and I wasn't wrong. I began with a 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" ... VIEW POST
Set Sail And Follow Your Dreams
This morning we seem to be having major issues with our internet cutting out every few minutes. Hopefully it will hang on long enough to allow me to post today's project. The Best Artwork
Whenever Stampin' Up! brings out a new catalogue I immediately turn to the new stamp sets. Even if a particular set doesn't appeal to me, I still appreciate the skill of the artists at Stampin' Up! There's something for everyone but I've found I'm drawn to stamp sets with images that have been designed to be coloured. One of the best new examples of that is the A Good Man Stamp Set, and I knew this image would make a great bookmark. SIMPLE PREPARATION To begin my project I cut a 2" x ... VIEW POST
Good Morning Sunshine
Late yesterday the clouds finally lifted and we got our first glimpse of blue skies in almost a week. This morning we awoke to a beautiful day and the promise of perfect drying weather. So while I wait for the washing to finish, here's another sneak peek from the new Stampin' Up! catalogue. BLOCK-FILL TECHNIQUE As soon as I saw the Free As A Bird Stamp Set I knew it would be perfect for the block-fill technique. I began with a layer of Shimmery White Card and the image of the four ... Simply Wonderful Surprise
For some reason just lately we've been left waiting for a lot of mail. One package from the UK actually took 5 weeks to arrive! Talk about snail mail... Yesterday though I had a simply wonderful surprise when a package from my daughter included our granddaughter's latest school photo. The timing was perfect as I've been looking for a photo for today's sneak peek project. So here it is, a simple but elegant decorated photo mat. PRETTY POPPIES I began the project with the poppy ...
