This week's What Will You Stamp? challenge is WWYS211 - Vibrant Vases. I love this set because it coordinates with the Vases Builder Punch. What's more the punch also coordinates with the Varied Vases Stamp Set in 2018/2019 Annual Catalogue. So you may be surprised to find that my Design Team project doesn't use the punch at all! HEAT EMBOSSING The flowers in the stamp set are so pretty and wanted to focus on those for my project. I also decided that I'd use no ink. That's right, I ... VIEW POST
Bad Puns and #WWYS210
Do you ever find yourself dragging out a childhood memory and thinking about those really bad puns and jokes? Well I have to say that's exactly what I found myself doing with the Sale-A-Bration stamp set So Hoppy Together. So when I realised that the What Will You Stamp? challenge #WWYS210 used this set, I couldn't resist any longer. So here's what happened, I saw the frog with the glasses and thought that he looked very studious. Then that made me think of reading, and of course ... VIEW POST
Sweet Baby & Onesie Tip
The other day I made a really simple congratulations card using the Sweet Baby Stamp Set. It was actually one of two cards I made during that session. This second card is a little more elaborate but I have a tip for adding the cute patterned onesie. FIRST THINGS FIRST To start my project I cut and scored a piece of Powder Pink Card using my Stampin' Trimmer. Then I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder to create the card base. Using ... VIEW POST
Faux Stained Glass
A little while ago I showed you a gift tag with a sparkling fish created using the Catch of The Day Stamp Set. That tag required the use of a Stamparatus stamp positioning platform and StazOn Jet Black ink. So today I wanted to show you another way to get that faux stained glass effect. STAINED GLASS THINLITS For this tag I decided to use the Stained Glass Thinlits to give me the thick black outline for my faux stained glass. First I fixed some Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet to some ... VIEW POST
Custom-Coloured Leafy Trellis
Every now and then I seem to get stuck in a rut. Right now my rut involves wanting to do everything, all at once. While it makes for a very messy craft room, it does allow me to really be creative. That's how I ended up with a custom-coloured leafy trellis, along with a simple way to attach said trellis, and a tip for the Detailed Trio Punch. All this for just one gift tag. LEAFY TRELLIS It all started when I was playing with the leafy trellis panel from the Delightfully Detailed ... VIEW POST
Two Types Of Marker
I was talking with a customer recently about Stampin' Blends alcohol markers and the expanding range of colours that are now available. During our chat I happened to mention that she could use any of the Stampin' Up! Classic Stampin' Pads to stamp her images. This came as a surprise to her, and it occurred to me that this might be a fact that's not widely known. It also got me thinking about the two types of marker sold by Stampin' Up! So for today's project I want to show just one way to ... VIEW POST
