I’ve just returned from spending time with my daughter and her family in the UK. The twins are now almost 2-1/2 years old and so different from when they visited us in Canada last October. Lots of new memories were made and I’m excited that my eldest granddaughter flew back with me. She’ll be here for 3 weeks and we have lots planned. Like me she loves to read so I made this Harry Potter themed bookmark for her using the Bird’s Eye View Stamp Set and Very Best Trio Punch. EARTHEN ... VIEW POST
IDEAS Blog Hop: Elegance & Fun Folds
Welcome to another IDEAS Blog Hop where this month our theme is “Fun Folds”. These can get quite complicated so my contribution to the tutorial PDF is a simple gate-fold card that you could adapt and dress up depending on your own skills and experience. Then for today’s blog post I designed a coordinating gift tag. Both the card and tag were inspired by a piece of Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper (DSP) left over from a previous project, along with with some of the spectacular More Dazzle ... VIEW POST
Back In The Moment
Happy Father’s Day and welcome to another simple Sunday here on my Papercraft With Me website. This is when I create a card or other paper project that can be made without any difficult techniques, or specialist equipment like a die-cutting machine or heat tool. Today‘s card uses the In The Moment Stamp Set. I love this image of someone sitting in a window with a mug in their hand, looking out at something we can’t see. To keep things interesting I stamped and cut the clothes from patterned ... VIEW POST
I Love Simple Cards
One of the things I love about papercrafting is the way I’m constantly inspired to create something new. While it’s definitely fun to use dies, punches, embossing folders and other tools, they aren’t essential. In fact I enjoy going back to basics to create projects that need no special tools or techniques. That’s why I created Simple Sunday, it’s one day that’s always reserved for a simple project that anyone can do. Today’s card was made at the end of last year and I’m delighted with how it ... IDEAS Blog Hop: Celebrating Family
It’s time for another IDEAS blog hop where this month our theme is “family celebrations”. There are so many to choose it was hard to pick just one. So in the end I created an anniversary card for my daughter and son-in-law, and a scrapbook page celebrating my twin granddaughters’ first birthday. Instructions for these projects are included in this month’s IDEAS tutorial bundle. Of course I couldn’t leave out my older granddaughter, so for her I created a pretty bookmark. All three projects ... VIEW POST
Candle Celebrations
I’m not sure how it can be Monday already, but apparently it is. They say time flies when you’re having fun, and I was definitely enjoying myself in the craft studio this weekend. Exploring new stamp sets and dies, and rediscovering old ones is my favourite way to relax. Yesterday I went back to the new Celebrations Tag Dies. My intention was to test out the second style of tag this set creates. In fact I was having so much fun I didn’t even think to grab a stamp set! TAKE 3 CELEBRATIONS ... VIEW POST
