Last month I showed you part of something I was working on, but there was much more to do before I was ready to show you the finished project. Well today's the day. I've been putting together a sampler using a number of stamp sets and here's what I ended up with. SECTION BY SECTION If I'd left this project to the end to explain it to you, this would have been the longest post I've ever written. Instead, I'll link back to earlier posts where I've already shown you how I made ... VIEW POST
Finding Clouds In Watercoloured Backgrounds
Yesterday while riding out our latest winter storm I spent time pulling out some older Stampin' Up! products. I've decided that with the retiring list only a matter of weeks away, I need to play with some still available but neglected items. Tucked in a box I found the Delightfully Detailed Notecards and Envelopes. I wasn't planning on making a notecard-sized card, but one card design reminded me of clouds and it all followed on from there. I started by using my Stampin' Trimmer to cut ... VIEW POST
Well Said for #WWYS209
I read somewhere that today is International Scrapbooking Industry Day, not to be confused with National Scrapbook Day which this year is on May 4th. Still, it's a great day to announce Well Said as the featured stamp set for this week's What Will You Stamp? Challenge. As soon as I saw this set I knew I needed it for my stash. It's a red rubber stamp set containing 51 individual stamps with cling mount labels. There's individual words and a variety of phrases and longer sentiments. In ... VIEW POST
Incredible Like You for #WWYS208
Some stamps sets attract me because of the images, some because of the sentiments, and some for both. I must admit that the Incredible Like You Stamp Set was more about the sentiments for me. I love the two fonts used for each one, crisp clear and easy to read. They're a good size too so you won't miss them on a project. So the focus of my Design Team contribution for this week's What Will You Stamp? challenge, WWYS208 Incredible Like You, should come as no surprise. CONTRASTING ... VIEW POST
A Cloud of Butterflies
Here in Nova Scotia it's bright and sunny, but at minus 12C it's very cold. So once again I'm in my craft studio dreaming of spring and playing with butterflies. This Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack is available free during Sale-A-Bration. Now there are even more exclusive free items to choose from. But first, my project. I began my card by using my Stampin' Trimmer to cut and score a piece of Thick Whisper White Card. I folded it along the scored line and sharpened ... VIEW POST
Meant To Be for WWYS204
Yesterday for my Simple Sunday project I altered a dreamy design from the Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) and made it quite graphic. Today for my What Will You Stamp? Challenge Design Team project I went back to the same paper pack. This time though I chose one of the gorgeous printed vellum sheets for challenge #WWYS204. I suppose you could say it was 'meant to be'. A SIMPLE START I began my project with some Thick Whisper White Card, cut and scored using my ... VIEW POST
