When I started my sneak peeks for the January to April 2023 Mini Catalogue my first project featured the Beside Me Stamp Set. Well as that was last year I decided it was time to pull out the set again. The main reason I bought the Beside Me Stamp Set was for the three line-art masculine figures. After Stampin’ Up! released sets with female figures several years ago I’d pointed out via their ‘suggestion box’ that we need male figures too. Today I couldn’t resist using another of those ... IDEAS Blog Hop: Day At The Farm
Today is the day we finally say goodbye to the July to December 2022 Mini Catalogue. Starting tomorrow customers will finally be able to order products from the January to April 2023 Mini Catalogue and also earn free Sale-A-Bration items. So for this month’s IDEAS blog hop we decided to focus on what we love from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. I chose the free Day At The Farm 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP), even though I don’t have the coordinating stamp set and dies from the Mini Catalogue ... VIEW POST
Stepping Stones Simplicity
Yesterday seemed to be another one of those days with lots of things to do and not enough time to do it in. Despite starting early I have a number of carry-over items on my to-do list today. But first I wanted to bring you instructions for another card designed and made during my personal “24 cards in 24 hours” challenge. The layout for this one is very simple and uses a 6” x 6” piece of patterned paper plus a very large sentiment from the Stepping Stones Stamp Set. TEXTURE CHIC I began ... VIEW POST
Another Warm Welcome
Like many people in eastern Canada my plan today is to prepare for the arrival of Hurricane Fiona. Looking at the current forecast I am pretty sure we’ll have trees and powerlines down. In addition to hurricane force winds, there’s also going to be a lot of rain making for a very messy clean up when it’s all over. And if we lose power? Well I’ll wait it out in my craft studio. I may not be able to heat emboss, but stamping and die-cutting is a very welcome distraction! OPEN DOOR But ... VIEW POST
Quick Note Card
Oh my goodness it certainly was a chilly start to the morning! I’m sitting here wearing a sweater and thinking about turning the heating on. Still, it’s nice and sunny out so I really shouldn’t complain. Today I decided to design a simple note card just because I haven’t made one in forever. At 3-1/2” x 5” when folded, the Note Card & Envelopes packs from Stampin’ Up! are the perfect size. What’s more they come in Very Vanilla, Basic White and Kraft so will work with any colour ... Gnomes And Snowflakes
We’re into another mini heatwave with temperatures feeling like mid 30C courtesy of the humidity. So as before I will close the windows and curtains until the heat of the day has passed. Then this evening when things cool down a little I’ll open everything up again. Meanwhile I intend to spend the day playing in my craft studio. The first thing that came to mind was cooler weather, much cooler in fact. So of course that made me think of snowflakes and Christmas. Then out came the Kindest ... VIEW POST
