My regular readers will know I love a good pun, or a bad one come to that. So it should come as no surprise that the Way To Goat Stamp Set made it into my first order from the new Stampin' Up! Catalogue. With three goat images and associated sentiments I knew I'd have a blast playing with this set. So here's my first idea, a gift box for anything other than cake. MINI PAPER PUMPKIN BOX Making the box itself was so easy, it's a Mini Paper Pumpkin Box that comes ready cut and scored. ... VIEW POST
Forever After For A Wedding Card
OK I must admit that I hadn't planned to make yet another project using the Forever Fern Stamp Set so soon. But in my defence the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (DSP) made me do it. As soon as I saw this tiled design in the pack I wanted to add scored lines to the 'grout'. Then I thought the grey would look nice with pink, Petal Pink to be exact. And the rest, as they say, is history. IN GOOD TASTE So I started with the tile paper and the large stylus on my Take Your Pick tool. ... VIEW POST
Forever Greenery Surprised Me
After yesterday's hectic day I decided to take it a little easier this morning. However I hadn't planned to take it so easy that my blog would be two hours late! I'm so sorry if your morning coffee when cold while you were waiting. In my defence I was playing with the new Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper and got totally absorbed. My original card idea wasn't turning out how I'd hoped so I just started playing. Before I knew it I had a design that I absolutely love. I hope you think ... VIEW POST
Believe All Host Stamp Sets Are Retiring
One of the things that is guaranteed with the end of any Stampin' Up! catalogue is the retirement of all the Host Stamp Sets. These sets can be found towards the back of each catalogue and are available at below retail value. The catch is that they can only be 'bought' using Stampin' Rewards. Stampin' Rewards are 'dollars' earned by hosting a party or placing an order of at least $200 CAD. Today's quick fridge magnet project uses the Believe You Can (host) Stamp Set. TEXTURED BASE I ... Turn Ornate Layers Into Fancy Frames
My regular readers will know that I love getting more from my papercrafting supplies. Today I had no plan other than to experiment a little with the new Ornate Layers Dies. In the end I discovered how easy it is to turn a layer into a frame for a pretty card. CHOOSING MY COLOURS My first task was to decide on a background and I ended up selecting a piece from the Woven Threads 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. The DSP then gave me my colour palette; Whisper White, ... VIEW POST
Saying It With A Speech Bubble
Oh my goodness, have you taken a look at the limited release coordinating dies yet? I had fun yesterday with the Birthday Dies that coordinate with the free Sale-A-Bration Happy Birthday To You Stamp Set. After that I picked up the Special Day Dies that coordinate with the Special Someone Stamp Set. I already knew that there were dies to cut out the cute animals, balloons and flowers, but how did I miss the speech bubble? IT'S THE RACCOON AGAIN If you've been following my blog for a ...
