I'm still working my way through the Retiring List and giving them all one last hurrah. Today’s project features four retiring products... the Sweet Strawberry Stamp Set and the coordinating Strawberry Builder Punch, plus the Ornate Frames and Tasteful Labels Dies. These two sets of dies have been a staple in my craft studio and therefore I’ll probably miss them the most. The Strawberry Builder Punch also coordinates with the Sentimental Swirls Stamp Set in the January to June 2022 Mini ... VIEW POST
Beautiful Shapes For A Modern Wreath
With Christmas nearly a month ago you'd think that wreath designs were a thing of the past (at least for a while). Well to be honest so did I. For today's card project I intended to create something spring-like with flowers and leaves, and I did. However when I pulled out the Beautiful Shapes Dies things took on a life of their own. By the time I was finished my card still had the planned flowers and leaves, but the die-cut hexagon shapes had morphed them into a modern-style ... VIEW POST
Strawberry Patch Bundle Discovery
It used to be that when Stampin' Up! changed from one catalogue to the next all the bundles retired. That meant that even if the individual items remained available, you could no longer buy them together at a discount. A couple of years ago that changed and Stampin' Up! began carrying over a few of the most popular bundles. I always try to keep on top of these but inevitably some slip by me. That's what happened with the Sweet Strawberry Bundle. I made today's strawberry patch gift tag, but ... VIEW POST
Celebrating Spring With A Strawberry Or Five
As I write this blog post I am enjoying the bright spring sunshine and warmer temperatures of the UK. One of my favourite fruits is the strawberry, although oddly not really in jams, pies or other cooked foods. No, for me nothing beats the smell and taste of fresh strawberries, eaten straight from the plant. So what better way to celebrate them than with a ... VIEW POST
Small Bloom Meets Strawberry Builder
Sometimes I need to follow my own advice and actually read the Stampin' Up! catalogue. Recently I've been playing with the Sweet Strawberry Stamp Set and coordinating Strawberry Builder Punch. The punch cuts out four shapes; the strawberry (obviously), plus the stalk, a small 5-petal flower and a leaf. But the Sweet Strawberry Stamp Set has a second, slightly larger 5-petal flower and I thought it was a shame I'd have to fussy cut that one. It was only over the weekend that I realised that ... Counting My Blessings This Weekend
It's the weekend, it's not snowing, and the sun is shining. I've decided that I'm going to have a very productive day even if it did get off to a slow start. One of the blessings of modern technology is that not only has it enabled me to have this blog, it also allows me to connect with my daughter and granddaughter in the UK. We connect most days, either by instant message or video, and it's something we all look forward to. After a nice chat this morning, today's card project seemed ... VIEW POST
