At this time of year I'm reminded that lots of people are graduating and moving on to a new phase in their lives. So I decided to create a congratulations gift tag using the retiring Banners For You Stamp Set and coordinating Bunch Of Banners Framelits. It's a fairly simple design that could easily be made in school colours for that personal touch. REALLY SIMPLE TAG BASE For today's tag I thought I'd show you a really simple way to create a tag base. I decided on Soft Sea Foam Card ... VIEW POST
Paper Pumpkin Sentimental Rose
Well today is an exiting day for me, it's my first time on A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop. I've done blog hops from time to time in the past, but this one came out of the blue. If you follow me on Facebook you'll know that for the past few months I've been providing alternate project ideas for Paper Pumpkin kits. These have been featured in the monthly Facebook Live presentation over on the official Paper Pumpkin Facebook Page. Well after the last Facebook Live I was contacted by the team at ... VIEW POST
A Yellow Rose For You
My regular blog readers will know that I have a love for yellow roses, they were my late Mum's favorite too. So I suppose it was inevitable that when I sat down to create a project with the Graceful Garden Stamp Set, a yellow rose would figure prominently. SIMPLE YELLOW ROSE I don't just use my Stampin' Blends for blending and shading. I use them when I want to create a clean, opaque look to my colouring too. So I began today's project by mounting the large rose image from the ... VIEW POST
Looking For Leaves
I'm so sorry my blog post is late today. Life and insurance rate hikes got in the way! My project was all ready to go and then the phone calls began. FIRST FROST FLOWERS The project all started with the First Frost Stamp Set that was carried over from the Stampin' Up! 2018 Holiday Catalogue. On Whisper White Card I first stamped one large and two small flower images using Blushing ... VIEW POST
Sweet Baby & Onesie Tip
The other day I made a really simple congratulations card using the Sweet Baby Stamp Set. It was actually one of two cards I made during that session. This second card is a little more elaborate but I have a tip for adding the cute patterned onesie. FIRST THINGS FIRST To start my project I cut and scored a piece of Powder Pink Card using my Stampin' Trimmer. Then I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder to create the card base. Using ... VIEW POST
Incredible Like You for #WWYS208
Some stamps sets attract me because of the images, some because of the sentiments, and some for both. I must admit that the Incredible Like You Stamp Set was more about the sentiments for me. I love the two fonts used for each one, crisp clear and easy to read. They're a good size too so you won't miss them on a project. So the focus of my Design Team contribution for this week's What Will You Stamp? challenge, WWYS208 Incredible Like You, should come as no surprise. CONTRASTING ... VIEW POST
