Once upon a time I used to skip past sentiment-only stamp sets. I’m not sure that was entirely intentional, but rather that they didn’t catch my eye the way sets with images did. Now though I’ve learned that sentiment-only sets like So Sincere have a lot of potential. Without any images to influence me I feel much less guilty mixing and matching my stamp sets. So much so that I’ll happily take images from one set, like Heartfelt Hexagon and combine it with whatever sentiment suits the project ... VIEW POST
A Bit More Winter Meadow
Today is the first Saturday in October and that means it’s time to celebrate World Card Making Day. You’ll see lots on social media, but I hope you’ll spend a little time following me on my Facebook page too. For the 7th year running I’ll be attempting to design and make 24 different cards in a single 24 hour period. While I was clearing my desk in readiness I came across a scrap of Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper left over from a previous card project so I made this… WINTER MEADOW ... VIEW POST
Brightest Idea For Today
In case you haven’t glanced at the calendar yet, let me point out that it’s September 25th. That means there’s only 3 months until Christmas. It’s just a touch scary the way the year is flying by, and December will be here before we know it. I'd planned to be much further ahead with my seasonal crafting by now, but once again I’m playing catch up. So for today’s project I created this fun gift tag with a definite Santa vibe using a sentiment from the Brightest Glow Stamp Set. BRIGHTEST GLOW ... VIEW POST
Joy Of Noel Discovery
Yesterday’s Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalogue launch was definitely a hit. So much so that a few things are already temporarily out of stock. The paper packs seem to be particularly popular, and with good reason, they’re gorgeous. If you haven’t yet placed an order don’t worry, more supplies are expected in the coming weeks. Meanwhile there’s lots of other pretty new things to keep you crafting. Today’s project uses the Joy Of Noel Stamp Set and coordinating Dies. However without a sentiment it could ... VIEW POST
Quiet Saturday
I think the hectic schedule of the past month has finally caught up with me. Why else would I sleep in when I can spend the entire day crafting uninterrupted? They’re forecasting heavy rain so my plan is to spend some quiet time creating lots of new projects for my blog. For the next few days I’ll be bringing you projects using currently available products from Stampin’ Up!. Then, starting on August 30th it will be a week of sneak peeks from the amazing September to December 2023 Mini ... VIEW POST
Gold Start For Autumn
Although we’ve had some scorching weather recently it’s obvious that autumn is just around the corner. So as I was looking at the Paper Florist Dies I began to think of ways to use them for the new season. I started by pulling out some ink pads in autumn shades and then remembered the Gold Distressed 12” x 12” Specialty Paper. I love the look of this paper but wondered whether it was possible to give it a hint of autumn colour. There was only one way to find out! DISTRESSED GOLD PAPER I ... VIEW POST
