It's the weekend, the sun is shining and I have lots I need to get done. I could pop out and mow the lawn but to be honest I don't fancy trying to avoid the blackfly. No, it's definitely much nicer inside where I can explore mother nature's bounty without getting bitten to pieces. My plan this morning was to create a gender-neutral gift tag featuring bright earth tones, and that's what I did. I'll admit that fussy-cutting the branches from the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper (DSP) ... VIEW POST
Daisy Days Are On Their Way
At long last colour is returning to the gardens and hedgerows. I love watching new plants emerge and flower, and then give way to others as the season progresses. For us spring is predominantly a time for dandelions with the 'lawn' in front of the house a sea of yellow. I must admit that since moving to rural Nova Scotia my opinion of dandelions has changed dramatically. No longer are they weeds that must be eradicated using any and all means at my disposal. But rather they are the first ... VIEW POST
Thank You For Being Kind And Other Sentiments
I'm a sucker for a good sentiment and right now I appear to be spoiled for choice. When looking at sentiments in new stamp sets I consider a number of things. First up, do I already have that sentiment? That's not as easy as it sounds because I have lots of some like "happy birthday" and "thank you". But I might be looking for a larger one, or smaller one. With multi-word sentiments I also like to have the option of all the words on a single line, or the words over several lines. Even the ... VIEW POST
Hand-Penned And Painted Thanks
After yesterday's card that used Designer Series Paper to create a floral focal point, today I have something more 'hands on'. I fell in love with the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set as soon as I saw the outline images that are perfect for colouring. Today's project involves painting with ink which is quick and easy. Making a tag allows me to experiment and decide whether to repeat the process for a full card or other project. HAND-PENNED BACKGROUND Before I could get to the painting I ... VIEW POST
Pink And Grey Work Well Together
One of the things I like most about the introduction of new In Colors is the chance to play with colour combinations. One of my favourites is pink and grey, in both dark and light shades. So when I saw the new Polished Pink colour in the 2021-2023 InColors it was a combination I definitely wanted to try. It also gave me another opportunity to break out other new products from the Stampin' Up! 2021/2022 Annual Catalogue. PAPER PIECES My project actually began with the Pansy Petals 12" ... VIEW POST
Stampin’ Up! 2021/2022 Annual Catalogue Is Now Live
After just over a week of sneak peeks the Stampin' Up! 2021/2022 Annual Catalogue is now live for customers. There's now a link to the new catalogue in the column on the right so you can download the PDF. Or there's the French Canadian version of the catalogue if you'd prefer that instead. I've also spent the past few hours adding all the individual links to the new products in my recent sneak peek blog posts. So today I'm simply going to recap all the projects so you can see them here ... VIEW POST
