Right now you’ve probably noticed lots of sunflower images on social media. That’s because they’re national flower of Ukraine. People everywhere are adopting them and displaying them as a symbol of solidarity with the Ukrainian people. After creating a card featuring the colours of the Ukrainian flag earlier in the week, today I wanted to create something with sunflowers. That was an easy option using the Celebrating Sunflowers Stamp Set. So with a vague idea in my ... VIEW POST
Oceanfront With Ukraine On My Mind
It’s hard to believe the events unfolding in Eastern Europe right now, and tough to think how this might play out. Let’s hope that diplomacy wins over aggression. Everywhere you look there’s blue and yellow, the colours of the Ukrainian flag, and that was certainly on my mind when I sat down to create today’s project. It had to be a ‘thinking of you’ kind of card, and blue and yellow inspired a peaceful scene. So with the Oceanfront and Celebrating You Stamp Sets at hand, ... VIEW POST
New Kit On The Horizon
I've admitted before that I might be a little addicted to the New Horizons Suite. So if you're like me you'll understand how excited I was when the Paper Pumpkin kit for March 2022 was announced. This all-inclusive card kit is called Beyond The Horizon and coordinates with my favourite suite. In addition the March kit will also include a second 4" x 6" stamp set making even better value for money. So to celebrate I used the New Horizon Stamp Set and coordinating products to create this ... VIEW POST
Layers Of Green And Vanilla
Well it's been an eventful 36 hours. First, a winter storm that has left the driveway coated in very thick layers of ice and snow. Not a good situation when said driveway is also on a hill. Then yesterday evening our two 11 month-old granddaughters needed checking out at the hospital after almost two days of vomiting. They're both now on medication and hopefully on the mend. So after staying up until I knew they were all safely home I slept in. Hopefully my late project was worth waiting ... VIEW POST
Wildflower Path Not A Snowbank
As I type this blog post it's just before 6pm on Friday. The winter storm started around 11am and has been relentless. If the deck railings are to be believed, we currently have about 6" (15cm) of snow on the ground with lots more to come. So I think therefore that it's Mother Nature's way of telling me I need to spend more time crafting. Mothers shouldn't be argued with, and so that's what I plan to do. But first I wanted to bring you this pretty project using the new Wildflower Path Stamp ... VIEW POST
Bragworthy Meets Tasteful Textile Embossing
With the new Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue launch and the start of the Sale-A-Bration promotion, yesterday was a very busy day. As promised I’ve updated my blog posts with links to all the products used to make each sneak peek project. I've also added links to yesterday's sneak peek review. So when I sat down yesterday evening to make a card it needed to be quick. In my head I thought I'd simply use a large sentiment and patterned paper. But when I picked up the Bragworthy sentiment suddenly my ... VIEW POST
