While Christmas Day is now over there’s still quite a bit of celebrating to do in the next week or so. Boxing Day is often an extension of the Christmas festivities. Then I have my daughter’s birthday, as well as New Year to look forward to. So with that in mind I wanted to bring you another ‘idea’ project that you might find useful. It’s a fun way to dress up a wine or other bottle you might gift to a host, using simple layering with some ribbon and embellishments. LAYERED OVER THE ... VIEW POST
Simply Paper And Ribbon
Well we survived the storm overnight and the power stayed on. Not everyone was so lucky and I sincerely hope they can be reconnected in time for Christmas. It’s Christmas Eve and we no longer have weeks, or even days to complete our preparations. Instead the panic is driven by mere hours and minutes. So today’s very quick project is more of an idea than a specific how-to. Simply grab some pretty paper that works with your colour scheme, a little ribbon and one or two bits from the garden. I ... Stepping Stones Simplicity
Yesterday seemed to be another one of those days with lots of things to do and not enough time to do it in. Despite starting early I have a number of carry-over items on my to-do list today. But first I wanted to bring you instructions for another card designed and made during my personal “24 cards in 24 hours” challenge. Storybook Vibes
After a few warm and sunny days, this morning has dawned very differently. Today we awoke to thick fog with a definite chill in the air. One of the things I love most about living in rural Nova Scotia is seeing the animals that visit our property. So you won’t be surprised they inspired today’s project featuring a deer from the Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper (DSP) ... VIEW POST
Texture Chic Is Back
Despite the well reported “global shipping crisis” I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how Stampin’ Up! has managed to maintain supplies of their products. That’s not say some things don’t go out of stock occasionally, but it really is only a very small percentage of items. The Texture Chic 12” x 12” Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) was briefly on that list. Thankfully it’s back and I can now show you this simple masculine / gender-neutral “Thinking of You” card. I think the design would work ... VIEW POST
Gift Tag Surprise
One of my papercraft obsessions (apart from designing new projects) is not wasting materials. It’s for this reason that I love making bookmarks, gift tags and giftcard holders. These smaller projects use up scraps of card, paper and ribbon so it doesn’t go to waste. They can also inspire panels and layers for larger projects too, which is great when occasionally I’m faced with a creative block. So I couldn’t resist the Celebrate with Tags bundle in the Mini Catalogue and made this unusual ... VIEW POST
