It’s no secret that I’m happy to mix and match images and sentiments from different stamp sets. In fact I sometimes buy a set precisely because I see a different use for some of the stamps. This was definitely the case with the Peaceful Deer Stamp Set in the July to December 2021 Mini Catalogue. With four different tree images included, it’s a very useful set. I’m delighted Peaceful Deer has been carried over to the new Annual Catalogue, and inked it up again for today’s simple Sunday card ... VIEW POST
Timeless Tulips For A Get Well Project
I’ve been dealing with a nasty cold for the past few days. I may have got it from hubby who wasn’t brilliant last week. Not COVID – we both tested then and were negative. Unfortunately my sore throat got worse and so yesterday we tested again. This time we’re both positive. Thankfully our symptoms aren’t severe, but we’re self-isolating as per the provincial regulations. On the upside I get more time in my craft studio. Earlier I chose the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set to make this sweet ‘get ... VIEW POST
Timeless Tulips For A Sympathy Card
At a recent craft fair I was struck by the number of people looking for get well, thinking of you and sympathy cards. So grab a refreshing drink and enjoy some alternate projects using this gorgeous kit. SUNSHINE CARD For my first project I wanted to create something that was more about the stamp set. Still Too Early For Tulips
When I first look at a new Stampin' Up! catalogue I tend to skim through it. I make a note of what immediately catches my eye and most often it's the images. But then I go back through and look more closely at each set. Doing this I realise how much I miss the first time round. I mean it's so easy to be sidetracked by images you know you have to get. In fact I've found that images that don't appeal often affect my view of the entire stamp set. This was the case with Timeless Tulips. I ... VIEW POST
