This past week I’ve started my mornings with a coffee and a look at the Stampin’ Up! Inventory Status Report. Once again I’ve been shocked at how many retiring stamp sets have completely sold out. This makes creating projects a real challenge. Today I’m taking the opportunity to use the Pampered Pets Stamp Set one last time. It’s currently showing as low stock and will likely be gone completely by the end of the weekend. I couldn’t resist creating this sympathy card using the sweet dog image. ... VIEW POST
Beautiful Moments Finale
Today is Mother’s Day in the UK. It’s much earlier than here in Canada but their daffodils are already blooming. Ours will be a while yet given the rollercoaster temperatures we’re getting. Later today I’ll get to video chat with my daughter and three granddaughters. Meanwhile I shall enjoy my morning coffee from the new “grandma” mug they sent me earlier this week. Today’s simple Sunday project is a “thinking of you” card using three more retiring products including the gorgeous Beautiful ... VIEW POST
Oceanfront With Ukraine On My Mind
It’s hard to believe the events unfolding in Eastern Europe right now, and tough to think how this might play out. Let’s hope that diplomacy wins over aggression. Everywhere you look there’s blue and yellow, the colours of the Ukrainian flag, and that was certainly on my mind when I sat down to create today’s project. It had to be a ‘thinking of you’ kind of card, and blue and yellow inspired a peaceful scene. So with the Oceanfront and Celebrating You Stamp Sets at hand, ... VIEW POST
Bragworthy Meets Beautiful Moments
While it’s the images that often draw me to a new stamp set, I love fun sentiments. In the Stampin’ Up! 2021/2022 Annual Catalogue it was Lighthearted Lines that caught my eye. So when their new Mini Catalogue was revealed I wondered if there would be something similar. Bragworthy was exactly what I was hoping for and I’ve already made a few projects using this set. Today though I finally got around to the sentiment that gave the stamp set its name, and all it took was a ... VIEW POST
Start Here With Playful Alphabet Dies
It's Groundhog Day! It's also 2/2/22 although I'm not whether that has any mystical significance. It's also exactly three months until the end of the Stampin' Up! 2021/2022 Annual Catalogue. As a result I'm now thinking about products that I suspect my be retired. Today my prediction is the Playful Alphabet Dies. Not because I don't like them, but simply that they've been around a couple of years and sales are likely dropping off. So to show off these useful dies (and some free paper) I ... VIEW POST
Elegantly Said For A Simple Sunday Card
So the several inches of snow that fell earlier this week has all gone thanks to Mother Nature and a deluge overnight. I love it when we don't have to shovel the white stuff off the driveway. The plus 14C on the thermometer is also a welcome change from the minus 13C we saw just a few days ago too. It hardly seems possible that two weeks from today Christmas will be over. So for today's simple Sunday project I wanted to bring you something more spring-like. This card, featuring the ... VIEW POST
