It’s time for another simple Sunday project and this week it’s a quick and easy card idea using the Rustic Crate Stamp Set. One of the things I hear a lot from fellow crafters is how challenging it can be to manage their card scraps. One way I’ve learned to deal with the problem is to make sure I actually use the scraps I keep. So every now and then I’ll design a card purely based on what scraps I have. The same goes for things like twine and ribbon. ODD SIZED LAYERS When I began to ... VIEW POST
Cracker Of An Idea
Right now we’re getting very excited as we look forward to our eldest granddaughter spending part of her summer with us without the rest of her family. Lots of things are planned, with rest days factored in. We’ll definitely be doing some shopping and that made me think of gifting her some money. Using the Cracker & Treat Box Dies I created a unique and fun way to do this. While doing that I also thought of a quick and easy way to hold the ends of the cracker closed. QUICK CRACKER I ... Dainty Simplicity
Are you a flowery crafter? I didn’t think I was until I looked back at projects I’ve made so far this year. However those photos don’t lie. Mind you, with so many gorgeous stamp sets, dies and punches in the Stampin’ Up! range it’s not difficult to find something to suit every taste. For today’s Simple Sunday project I turned to the Dainty Delight Stamp Set. I love the finished result and show another way to add ribbon to a gift tag without needing to use a punch or dies. Oceanfront Joy
Yesterday was a lovely day that started out with a flock of starlings lining up along my deck rail. Sadly whenever I tried to take a photo they decided it was time for a little exercise. Then just a few minutes later the fog rolled in, obscuring almost the whole garden. It didn’t stay long though, and by the middle of the day it was sunny and very warm. Definitely a great day to be at the beach, and of course that made me think of the Oceanfront Stamp Set. OCEANFRONT SCENE This stamp set ... VIEW POST
Ink Refill Reminder
Whenever I buy a new ink pad from Stampin’ Up! I always add the corresponding ink refill to my order. They’re really inexpensive and it’s easier to buy the two things at the same time. As well as allowing me to reink the pad before it gets too dry these little bottles have other uses. I add 10-20 drops to a Stampin’ Spritzer with 70% alcohol, creating a solution that I can spray onto my projects. Or I simply mix some ink with water and paint like I did here. WATERPROOF INK I began ... VIEW POST
Daffodil Designs
Finally it’s time to start showing you products that will be available in a new Online Exclusives category appearing in my online store starting March 1st. One of the great things about this new category is that there’s no end date for the sales period! Some products will be reordered when inventory is low, with others only be available while supplies last. This will enable Stampin’ Up! to respond more quickly to relevant trends. Today’s spring daffodil project features one of three designs from ... VIEW POST
