Today I'm continuing with my Retiring List highlights with a little paper and ribbon. But at the same time I also wanted to remind you of some of the wonderful things that will still be available. So my project today combines the two with a little #simplestamping. PAPER AND RIBBON My simple card actually began with the desire to use the gorgeous Mint Macaron 1/2" basket weave ribbon that is now retiring. First though I had to create the card base and add the background. So using my ... VIEW POST
Retiring List Is Finally Revealed
A couple of days ago Stampin' Up! revealed the list of products that will be retiring from the August to December Mini Catalogue. Sadly a few of my favourites were on the list, but thankfully not all. So over the next few weeks I'll be making new projects before some of these retiring products sell out. Today's simple Sunday project actually uses three items from the Retiring List. 'TIS THE SEASON FOR RETIRING PRODUCTS I must be honest and say that I never did get the retiring Cherish ... VIEW POST
Joy And Frustration In Equal Measure
Not to nag or anything but did you realise that it's been three months since I started giving you a Christmas countdown? Yep, three months, and in another three months it will be Christmas Day. I don't know about you but with half the time gone I haven't completed half of my planned craft projects. I'm not even close. But there was a sense of satisfaction and joy that at least I'd started. That was until I took a second look at today's project and it occurred to me my mistletoe was upside ... VIEW POST
Sending More Christmas Blessings
Of all the Christmas stamp sets available from Stampin' Up! right now my favourite has to be Wrapped in Christmas. I immediately fell in love with the Christmas Blessings sentiment and make no apologies for using it again on today's card. CHRISTMAS PLAID I thought that today I'd make a Christmas card that was simple with a bit more of a masculine feel. So I began by choosing the Cherry Cobbler / Real Red plaid design from the 'Tis The Season 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (DSP) ... VIEW POST
Holly Leaves With Shiny Red Foil Berries
And just like that it's the 24th of the month again. No longer do I have six months, or even five months to get all my Christmas crafting done. Nope, suddenly it's only four months to Christmas Eve, and I'm starting to worry. Two months ago I'd planned to make at least one Christmas project every week but needless to say that never happened. I have the products and materials so there's really no excuse. So now I really do need to make a definite plan for how I'm going to get everything ... VIEW POST
Creating a simple masculine card
One of the best things about Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper (DSP) is that the two sides are printed with a different pattern. That means it's much more versatile than you might initially think. Take the 'Tis The Season 6" x 6" DSP pack. One side of each sheet has definite Christmas images while on the reverse are more generic patterns. I thought the green plaid pattern would make a great masculine card for today's simple Sunday project. MASCULINE PLAID I began by using my Paper ... VIEW POST
