So a couple of minutes ago we had a short loss of power. It's raining but it's hardly a storm so I've no idea what could have caused the interruption. Still I'm going to assume that we may lose power again and set up my blog post very quickly. Today's project was created for a friend and team member who hasn't really connected with the retiring Humming Along Stamp Set. I decided to create a project that I felt sure she'd love, and hopefully spark a new appreciation for this set before it's ... VIEW POST
Perennial Birthday #SimpleStamping
It's Sunday again and we had a lot of snow overnight. Still, the sky has cleared and it's a gorgeous sunny morning here in Nova Scotia. I love how the sun shines off freshly fallen snow, I just don't like shovelling it. Especially since it's currently minus 12C right now. I'd rather stay in and craft and that means a Simple Sunday project. Today I'm combining that with the Stampin' Up! #simplestamping challenge. The brief for February is simple - use stamps, ink and paper with the bonus ... VIEW POST
Early Morning Moments
Do you make New Year's resolutions? I used to, but like most people I never stuck to them for long. Instead, two years ago I started a 'bullet journal'. In it I keep all my 'to do' lists, reminders and generally anything I want to remember. It's been a great help especially for those moments when an idea strikes me while I'm in the middle of something else. Now I have somewhere to write it and most importantly find it again. No more wondering what happened to that old envelope, or Post-It® ... VIEW POST
Merry Christmas Everyone
Merry Christmas to all my blog readers and followers. Thank you so much for all your support and encouragement I appreciate it more than you'll ever know. So while you're hopefully spending the day in the way you would have wished, here's my first sneak peek from the 2019 Occasions Catalogue. Starting tomorrow all my projects will include sneak peeks and new product information, in the run up to January 3rd when these items will be available for customers to purchase. Have a great ... Seasonal Thoughts and Winter Woods
My regular blog readers will know that I always make a few 'thinking of you cards' at this time of year. I know first hand how hard Christmas can be at times, having lost my son suddenly last year. Seasonal thoughts can be tricky, and not everyone wants to be told to have a "merry Christmas". Sometimes it's enough just to say you are thinking of them. SEASONAL THOUGHTS I began this project with the sentiment from the Winter Woods Stamp Set. Using Gray Granite ink I simply stamped it ... VIEW POST
Looking for a tropical escape
Oh my goodness it's cold here in Nova Scotia! Currently minus 11 but with the wind it's feeling like minus 18! We had more snow overnight so I'll be out shovelling again later. Oh how I wish I was still enjoying my tropical escape in Florida. With winter conditions arriving so early this year, spring seems a lifetime away. Its a good job I can bring some pretty flowers into my craft room with Designer Series Paper. Today's project is a birthday card created as part of my personal ... VIEW POST
