With a new project on my blog every day you've probably gathered that I'm a passionate papercrafter. This means that over the years I've collected a lot of stuff. I've also learned that I have more fun crafting when I'm organised. That doesn't mean I've planned out my project in advance and got everything prepared like a chef in a kitchen. What I mean is that I know exactly where things are should I need to use them. One of the tools I use a lot is the Take Your Pick Tool. This handy ... VIEW POST
Lily Impressions Gift Bag Sneak Peek
Moving on with my sneak peek projects, today I am going back to the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. The Lily Impressions 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper is simply stunning and I couldn't resist making a gift bag with it. Today's bag though comes with a fold-over top simply held in place with strong twine. It is about the paper after all... SIZES AND DIMENSIONS The finished bag is 6-1/4" tall by 4" wide and 1-3/4" deep, with a 2" fold-over flap. To start I cut the paper down to 10" high by ... VIEW POST
A Treat In A Triangle Box
Every year I love coming up with creative ways to gift little treats. Even though the packaging style may be the same, the change in paper, stamp sets and dies always seems to give the project new life. So with that in mind, here's my 2019 version of a triangle box for two Hershey's Nuggets. TRIANGLE BOX TUTORIAL I made this year's triangle box using a piece from the Garden Lane 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP). It probably isn't the first DSP pack you'd think of for Christmas ... Taking Time To Tie A Tassel
As I sit down to write this blog post the wind is howling and we're preparing for what could be three days of bad weather. Thankfully we still have power at the moment although were preparing for it to go out at some point. We're still not out of the woods yet so this tassel tag project will be a quick one. FIRST THE TAG I began but cutting a piece of Thick Whisper White Card 2" x 4-1/4". Then I shaped one end using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. On top of that I attached some Real ... VIEW POST
My DSP Warning Was Well Timed
Just two days ago I mentioned in my blog that the retiring list was coming out next week and it was time to stock up on Designer Series Paper (DSP). But even I was shocked when I saw late yesterday evening that the Feels Like Frost and Brightly Gleaming DSP packs are no longer available. Sales of these DSP packs have been phenomenal and there simply isn't enough time to get more before the end of the catalogue period. It's sad but it happens, just like I predicted. Thankfully I made ... VIEW POST
‘Tis The Season For Hot Chocolate
A couple of years ago I created a pouch for a hot chocolate sachet using the Envelope Punch Board. I thought that it was time to revisit that project but sadly the Envelope Punch Board is no longer available from Stampin' Up! So this year I redesigned the pouch so you can create it using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool instead. COMFORT AND JOY The "comfort and joy" sentiment comes from the Cup of Christmas Stamp Set. First I wiped a piece of Thick Very Vanilla Card with an Embossing ... VIEW POST
