It’s been decades since I last rode a bike and I’m not even sure I could still do it. However the mountain biker in the Greatest Journey Dies really called to me. It reminds me of my son who never learned to drive but preferred to cycle everywhere. He loved the freedom cycling gave him to go anywhere and he liked to ride fast, especially when zipping past friends and work colleagues with a grin on his face. So using this simple silhouette and a sentiment I designed this card. GREATEST ... VIEW POST
Ready To Craft
So our journey through the Canadian weather options continues today. Yesterday we had several inches of snow. During the evening and overnight that turned to rain which has completely washed away all the snow. That’s nice, as it means that our decision not to go out and shovel it paid off. Today however they’re forecasting freezing rain which is a whole other ballgame. It looks like Mother Nature wants me to stay in and craft some more and I’m definitely ready to oblige, starting with this easy ... VIEW POST
Starry Sky Monochrome
Do you make one project and walk away, or do you create several in one sitting? For me it often comes down to inspiration. I often think of new project ideas while I’m still working on something else. For this reason I generally keep a notebook handy so I can write things down before I forget. Other times it’s not a specific project that I think of, but rather a desire to keep using a particular product. That’s how I ended up with this birthday card in monochrome Starry Sky. DECORATIVE ... No Holly Boughs Today
As an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator it’s helpful to have something to keep track of my journeys. One year I bought a book specially made for this purpose but it didn’t really meet my needs. So now I make my own, and every year Stampin’ Up! provides the inspiration. My latest notebook started with the camper van piece from the He’s The Man specialty paper. By the time I was done I’d also used three different products from the Boughs of Holly suite, but still avoided including any holly ... VIEW POST
Classic Man Card
After a run of flowers, animals and birds I decided that it was time for something a little more masculine. Other papercrafters often tell me that making cards and gifts for the man in their life is incredibly challenging. I’m not immune to this either. Some projects are easier than others and I specifically look out for products that will help me. So buying the stamp set, dies, paper and embellishments in the He’s The Man Suite Collection was a bit of a no-brainer. This birthday card uses it ... VIEW POST
Magnet Board Masculine Makeover
Today is going to be one of those days when I get very little done. I woke up with backache and it’s making it hard to concentrate on anything for more than a few minutes at a time. So I’ll take some painkillers and not put too much pressure on myself to get things done. Hopefully it will ease up as the day wears on, but in the meantime I wanted to show you something I’ve been working on... It’s a masculine makeover for the Celebrate Today Magnet Board Kit. If you saw my original post about ... VIEW POST
