While I love buying patterned paper for specific occasions I don’t like the leftovers once an event is done. That’s why I always look for other ways to use the paper I buy. Take the O Holy Night 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP) for instance... it was designed to coordinate with the Night Divine Stamp Set and dies to create Christmas cards with a religious theme, but I discovered that it’s also great for masculine cards, especially when combined with the Trucking Along Stamp Set and builder ... Back to Trucking Along
In case you were waiting, the Trucking Along Punch is now back in stock, which means the bundle is also now available again. In order to showcase this cute stamp set and punch I decided to create a more contemporary Christmas card for today’s blog post. Other than a red truck I had no real plan, and sometimes that means the finished project is as much of a surprise to me as it is to you. In the end it was a large die-cut circle that pulled it all together. TRUCKING BUNDLE I knew I wanted ... VIEW POST
More Occasions To Play
It’s Friday, and here in Nova Scotia we’re in for a glorious stretch of weather. We had quite a rainy summer, and so some unseasonably warm and sunny days now are very welcome. One of my friends has a convertible VW beetle and whenever the weather is good I imagine her cruising around with the top down. Today is one of those occasions and I couldn’t resist creating this convertible car bookmark for her. It’s powder blue to match her car, but now I want to create a Barbie pink one! CURVED ... Curved Occasions
How are you enjoying my September to December 2023 Mini Catalogue sneak peeks so far? I must say I’m having a lot of fun playing with the new products I received in my pre-order. Today’s project is a gender-neutral birthday card using the new Curved Occasions Stamp Set and coordinating Curved Label Punch. As soon as I saw this in the catalogue I was immediately drawn to the Beetle convertible image. My friend Jeannette has one of these cars in pale blue and so that definitely influenced my ... IDEAS Blog Hop: Beside Me
It’s the first Wednesday in the month and that means it’s time for another IDEAS Blog Hop. This month our theme is “Holidays”. In crafting circles the holiday that immediately comes to mind is Christmas. But as someone originally from the UK, the word “holidays” is synonymous with vacations. That made me think of the Beside Me Stamp Set with images of adults and children spending quality time together. So I decided to create three coordinating projects, one for my blog and the other two for the ... VIEW POST
New Construction
Happy Canada Day! It’s hard to believe that we’re into the second half of 2023 already. Hubby and I both have full to-do lists as we hopefully finish the construction of our home network this weekend. We have a little more hardwiring to do, and then we can transfer all our remaining devices to it. Our new service appears to be four times faster than the old one which is a huge improvement, and this means I’ll finally be able to get back to making videos for my YouTube channel. So while I ...
