We’re coming to the end of our granddaughter’s stay with us and ticking off the last few things on her bucket list. Many involved food and shopping which was fine with me, lol. We’ve also been exploring Nova Scotia’s flora and fauna. There was no big zoo trip this time but instead we enjoyed discovering creatures in the wild. Today our plan is to print off some of the photos ready for some crafty time. Meanwhile, here’s an animal-themed birthday giftcard envelope complete with a More Dazzle ... VIEW POST
Something Sea Inspired
Last week I spent some quality time with my granddaughter on Brier Island here in Nova Scotia. Our trip was quite eventful with car trouble that threatened to scupper our plans. However some amazing locals on Long Island came to our aid and transformed a stressful day into one full of very special memories. We had the most amazing time whale watching and have made fast friends into the bargain. On our return I wanted to make thank you cards and this one is definitely something inspired by the ... Irresistible Vellum
I love using vellum. At it’s most basic, vellum diffuses any colour or pattern behind it. However one of my favourite techniques is to run it through my Cut & Emboss Machine inside an embossing folder. This not only adds texture, but also stresses the vellum so the design appears white. Dainty Details
At last, rainy days followed by warm sunshine have made the garden spring into life. It’s been a slow start but the leaves have finally appeared on the trees. It’s not manicured by any means, and we even embrace the bright and colourful dandelions that feed the local bees. The garden inspired today’s thank you card using the Dainty Delight Stamp Set and coordinating ... VIEW POST
IDEAS Blog Hop: Fresh As A Daisy
It’s the first Wednesday of the month and time for another IDEAS blog hop. This month our theme is “fast & fabulous". I decided to create all my projects using the Fresh As A Daisy 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP) shown on pages 110, 111 and 130 of the 2023/2024 Annual Catalogue. I designed three cards and a bonus gift tag for the IDEAS Tutorial Bundle PDF, and another card for today’s blog post. This paper is simply gorgeous and makes it really easy to create eye-catching ... VIEW POST
Timeless Arrangements
For today’s sneak peek project I wanted to show you a new stamp set and dies bundle. The Timeless Arrangements Stamp Set is chock full of great sentiments in pretty fonts. There’s also some small leaf and flower images that are very useful. The coordinating Timeless Arrangements Dies are a mixture of label-style pieces and tiny flower sprays and leaves. But the best dies in the set cut floral pieces and leaves attached to narrow strips. These can be layered behind the ‘labels’ to create quick ... VIEW POST
