I don’t get ill very often, but when I do it really seems to hit me hard. Right now I’m fighting off a nasty cold and sore throat and it’s given me a really fuzzy brain. Concentrating on anything for more than a few minutes at a time is a real challenge. Even my crafting is taking much longer than normal. Today I’ve made a thank you card using the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set and coordinating Penned Flowers Dies, with another example of an edge die you may have ... VIEW POST
A Paper Pumpkin Thing – Kisses & Hugs
This month's A Paper Pumpkin Thing blog hop is all about the February 2022 kit called Kisses & Hugs. Unfortunately global shipping issues caused kits to arrive late at Stampin' Up! and domestic mailing delays have compounded the problem. So instead of Valentines I thought it would be useful to show this kit's year-round versatility. HUGS FOR A BABY For my first project I thought the hearts and XOXO motif would make a great baby card. In addition, by avoiding the pink parts of ... VIEW POST
Sending Thoughts With Prized Peony
Today is a sad day as it sees the funeral of my husband's elderly aunt who died recently in the UK. Unfortunately with increased COVID restrictions travelling over to pay our respects wasn't a viable option. So we shall have to watch via a video link while other members of the family represent us in person. We have lots of happy memories that will comfort us, but our thoughts today are with her husband of 47 years who has lost his soulmate. So for today's project I wanted to bring you this ... VIEW POST
Peaceful Deer Encircled In Beauty
One week today it will be Christmas Day and the final rush has begun. No matter how well you plan there's always those last minute jobs that simply can't be done earlier. Like buying fresh fruit and vegetables for Christmas dinner. But then there's the jobs that have been on your list since last Christmas, like making sure you have enough gift tags for the gifts. Or some extra cards to give. Today's project is one of my final Christmas cards for the year and uses the Peaceful Deer Stamp Set ... VIEW POST
IDEAS Blog Hop – New Year’s Resolutions
This month our theme is "New Year's Resolutions" which left quite a lot of room for interpretation. Every year I`m determined to improve my organisation and so I decided to create a perpetual calendar as my contribution to the IDEAS tutorial bundle PDF. With a perpetual calendar you write down birthdays, anniversaries and other events that occur on the same date each year. But unlike a traditional annual calendar you can keep using it year after year. My version includes twelve individual ... VIEW POST
It’s Been One Of ‘Those’ Days
Have you ever had one of those days where you thought you were being super organised and on top of things, only to find the exact opposite? Well that's been me today. For more than a week I've been planning my contribution to a blog hop involving a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. The blog post was done and my part of the Tutorial PDF completed. All I had to do was wait until 3pm Atlantic Time for it to go live. Unfortunately, it's only now I've realised that I've ...
