Ok I admit it. When I first saw the Brightest Glow Stamp Set I decided I didn’t need it. But every time I flicked through the Stampin’ Up! July to December Mini Catalogue I found myself pausing on page 30 and 31. I immediately bought and love the Lights Aglow paper, the ribbon and the festive pearls. But I finally gave in and got the Brightest Glow Stamp Set and coordinating Labels Aglow Dies. It’s designed as a “Christmas” stamp set but that wasn’t the theme of my first project. BRIGHTEST ... Abigail Rose Reimagined
After yesterday’s Christmas card I thought I’d better change season, at least for a while. So for today’s simple Sunday project I decided to go back to an old but fun technique that involves absolutely no stamping. All I needed was some Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. Stampin’ Up! understands how relaxing it is to just sit and colour, and has made that really easy with paper packs like Perfectly Penciled. But today it was a sheet in the Abigail Rose DSP that ... Sun Prints Script
When I think of the Sun Prints Designer Series Paper (DSP) I automatically think of blue. Then I remember that I can get many of the same patterns in four other colours in the Pretty Prints DSP pack. But what I have to remind myself is that there’s also a more delicate option. All I have to do is flip over the blue sheets for some softer Gray Granite patterns. Kindness Is Simple
Once again the weekend disappeared in record time. One of the highlights was being invited to join a small team of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators to collaborate on a monthly PDF tutorial, featuring alternate projects using the latest Paper Pumpkin kit. I’m grateful that they feel my creativity is worth sharing, and humbled that they sought me out to join their team. I accepted their offer and will now do this alongside my other tutorial collaboration with the monthly IDEAS blog hop. So today this ... VIEW POST
Saddest Tree On The Lot
So here we are under an extreme heat warning for the next 3 days. Right now I have lots of windows open to get some relatively cooler air into the house. My plan is to get all the necessary chores done before 10am. Then I’ll shut the windows and draw the curtains to keep out the heat as it climbs. From there I intend to relax in my craft studio designing new projects for Christmas. But first I couldn’t resist bringing you this gift tag featuring Charlie Brown’s Christmas tree. FREE TREE LOT ... VIEW POST
Another Hope & Prayer
Although I managed to get yesterday’s blog post published it wasn’t without some difficulty. I’d hoped this was a temporary glitch but as the day wore on there was no improvement. So I made a call to my internet provider who did a few tests and adjustments, all to no avail. Finally they decided to replace the modem, again, and hope that sorts out the problem. Thankfully that should arrive tomorrow and normal service can be resumed. Meanwhile I think I should retreat to my studio and play a ... VIEW POST
