Once again the weekend disappeared in record time. One of the highlights was being invited to join a small team of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators to collaborate on a monthly PDF tutorial, featuring alternate projects using the latest Paper Pumpkin kit. I’m grateful that they feel my creativity is worth sharing, and humbled that they sought me out to join their team. I accepted their offer and will now do this alongside my other tutorial collaboration with the monthly IDEAS blog hop. So today this ... VIEW POST
Saddest Tree On The Lot
So here we are under an extreme heat warning for the next 3 days. Right now I have lots of windows open to get some relatively cooler air into the house. My plan is to get all the necessary chores done before 10am. Then I’ll shut the windows and draw the curtains to keep out the heat as it climbs. From there I intend to relax in my craft studio designing new projects for Christmas. But first I couldn’t resist bringing you this gift tag featuring Charlie Brown’s Christmas tree. FREE TREE LOT ... VIEW POST
Another Hope & Prayer
Although I managed to get yesterday’s blog post published it wasn’t without some difficulty. I’d hoped this was a temporary glitch but as the day wore on there was no improvement. So I made a call to my internet provider who did a few tests and adjustments, all to no avail. Finally they decided to replace the modem, again, and hope that sorts out the problem. Thankfully that should arrive tomorrow and normal service can be resumed. Meanwhile I think I should retreat to my studio and play a ... VIEW POST
I Love Free Paper
I’ve never yet met a crafter who didn’t love getting free products. I think that’s why Stampin’ Up!’s Sale-A-Bration promotions are so popular. Twice a year we get the chance to choose some exclusive products simply for placing an order we were probably going to send in anyway. Something I always look forward to seeing is the free paper choices. This time, despite not being excited by the coordinating stamp set and dies in the Mini Catalogue, I couldn’t resist selecting the Rings of Love paper ... VIEW POST
Bokeh Lights Effect
On Monday I took part in a “Holidays” blog hop with the IDEAS team. As part of that I contributed designs for a Christmas card and gift box for the 70 page Tutorial PDF bundle. These projects won’t be available anywhere else and therefore for my blog followers I created a coordinating gift tag. One section of that was a bokeh background layer using the Lights Aglow 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. So for today’s project I wanted to give you a closer look at this effect. Bokeh is a ... VIEW POST
IDEAS Blog Hop: Very Best Occasions
It’s time for another IDEAS blog hop where this month our theme is “holidays”. While we've just celebrated Canada Day here, I wanted to look towards the end of the year. Christmas is definitely my favourite holiday for crafting projects, and I suspect for many others too. So for my Tutorial Bundle projects I decided to use my go to paper right now, Lights Aglow and the Very Best Occasions Bundle. Meanwhile for my blog followers I used these products to create a striking “love you mean it” gift ... VIEW POST
