What a frustrating morning! My vintage style gift tag made using the Very Versailles Stamp Set was done yesterday, and today I just had to write the blog post. However, on-going problems with our rural internet have been worse than ever. Just recently it's been extremely unstable, cutting out every couple of minutes. Right now we have a temporary fix, but long-term we've been told we should upgrade our service. So instead of my planned crafting day I'll be researching our options. ... VIEW POST
Tiny Triangles For A Bright Border
And just like that the one day free shipping promotion has come and gone. I hope you managed to take advantage of it like I did. As an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator I was able to combine the free shipping with my pre-order of products from the January to June 2022 Mini Catalogue. Of course I didn't spend any less, but instead decided to use the money I saved to add a few more things to my order. Now comes the hard part... waiting for it to be delivered. Meanwhile I thought I'd ... VIEW POST
Rediscovering Tin Tile 3D Embossing Folder
It won't be long before the Stampin' Up! 2020/2021 Annual Catalogue comes to an end. I really don't mind as the 2021/2022 Annual Catalogue is bound to be full of amazing new things. But it does mean I also have to accept the inevitable list of products that are to be retired. So now I've started looking at what I think could be on that dreaded list. Embossing folders tend to be culled quite drastically every year, and Tin Tile could be one whose days are numbered... TIN TILE 3D ... VIEW POST
A Little Vintage Rose And Razzleberry
This morning has been a touch stressful with an internet service that was slower than dial-up. If you're reading this is means that I have finally managed to get my photos uploaded after several hours of trying. Today's project is a card created using the Very Versailles Stamp Set. To give it a vintage feel I chose a simple colour palette of Rococo Rose, Rich Razzleberry, Smoky Slate and Very Vanilla. This was really quick to put together. If only my internet were as fast. COLLAGE ... VIEW POST
Enjoying The Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder
Today is going to be an odd sort of day. Three years ago our son died suddenly from complications arising from his Type 1 diabetes. Not a day goes by that I don't think of him. I'm immensely proud of all he achieved in his 31 years on this earth, and all the lives he touched. So I suppose it was inevitable that today's project would be a thinking of you card. But while we wait a few more hours to be able to order from the new Stampin' Up! Catalogue I have one final sneak peek for you: the ... VIEW POST
Turn Ornate Layers Into Fancy Frames
My regular readers will know that I love getting more from my papercrafting supplies. Today I had no plan other than to experiment a little with the new Ornate Layers Dies. In the end I discovered how easy it is to turn a layer into a frame for a pretty card. CHOOSING MY COLOURS My first task was to decide on a background and I ended up selecting a piece from the Woven Threads 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. The DSP then gave me my colour palette; Whisper White, ... VIEW POST
