Today is the day we finally say goodbye to the July to December 2022 Mini Catalogue. Starting tomorrow customers will finally be able to order products from the January to April 2023 Mini Catalogue and also earn free Sale-A-Bration items. So for this month’s IDEAS blog hop we decided to focus on what we love from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. I chose the free Day At The Farm 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP), even though I don’t have the coordinating stamp set and dies from the Mini Catalogue ... VIEW POST
Timeless Greetings
One of the things I hear regularly from crafters is how hard they find making masculine or gender-neutral cards. It seems creating a card with flowers, ribbons and gems comes much more naturally to many. My issue is not designing the cards it’s more about getting materials that aren’t boring, and I’m always on the lookout for extra options. So you can imagine my delight when I saw the new Timeless Greetings Kit from Stampin’ Up! I knew right away that it would be the perfect addition to my ... VIEW POST
Label Me Fancy Punch Tip
Some time ago I posted a video with a tip for using just the small hole part of the Label Me Fancy Punch. I’ve had lots of feedback about that tip from paper-crafters who found it really useful. However it was only as I was creating today’s simple Sunday project that another helpful tip for that punch popped into my head. What’s most surprising is that it’s very similar to a tip I’ve already posted for the Very Best Trio Punch. Sometimes it’s the most obvious solutions that escape us. LABEL ... VIEW POST
Autumn Sadness
When I began cardmaking almost ten years ago I only had a few supplies. So in a desperate desire to make my meagre stash go as far as possible I began to experiment. While my stash has grown significantly I still love to make cards using white (or vanilla) and just one other colour. My first attempts were truly awful but thankfully I’ve refined the process using texture and layers. That was my plan while making this card featuring the retiring Fond of Autumn Stamp Set and coordinating ... VIEW POST
Velvet Deer
My regular readers will know that I love experimenting with my craft supplies. Today my plan was to use another of the products that will be retiring soon; Snowy White Velvet Sheets. I’m not sure exactly how it happened but in the end the velvet featured quite heavily in the design. By the time I was done it had been die-cut, punched, and folded, stamped on, and coloured! Using the Peaceful Deer Stamp Set and coordinating Deer Builder Punch this is the final result. I particularly love the ... VIEW POST
Gnomes Announcement
When I designed this card during my personal “24 cards in 24 hours” challenge I had a feeling that the gnomes' days would be numbered. It’s a great stamp set but typical of those that are only available for a single catalogue. Of course I hoped I was wrong but sadly not., the Kindest Gnomes Stamp Set and Storybook Gnomes paper are both on the retiring list. What isn’t there though is the Gnomes Dies. That’s because there’s a new stamp set with coordinating spring/summer themed gnomes coming very ... VIEW POST
