Santa's 'To Do' List featuring products from the Santa's Workshop Suite from Stampin' Up!

Santa’s To Do List

August 29, 2018 Leave a Comment

OK I know it's still August (although not for long), but I couldn't resist today's sneak peek project.  Anyone who knows me knows I love notebooks and making lists.  I've discovered that writing down things and ticking them off when they're done is so satisfying.  This is never more true than in the run up to Christmas when I get really busy with craft fairs.  So when I saw one particular image in the new Signs of Santa Stamp Set, one project immediately came to mind.  I simply had to have ... Santa’s Workshop opening soon

Yesterday I showed you a little sneak peek from the Stampin' Up! 2018 Holiday Catalogue that goes live for customers on September 5th.  Today I want to continue my sneak peeks with a quick look at the main products in the Santa's Workshop Suite. I've created two videos for you, one looks at the Signs of Santa Stamp Set, the Santa's Signpost Framelits Dies, Santa's Workshop Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP), and the Santa's Workshop Enamel Shapes. But first here's a look at the Santa's ... VIEW POST

Scrappy days

July 22, 2018 Leave a Comment

Every now and then I like to have what I call a 'scrappy day'.  On a scrappy day I make a conscious effort to use scraps on my projects.  This might be card from my card scraps tin, short pieces of ribbon or trim from my ribbon box.  Sometimes it's pieces that have been stamped, punched or die-cut during a previous crafting session but never actually used. Today is one of those days and so for my simple Sunday project I created this thank you card. CARD FRONT AND BACKGROUND I started ... VIEW POST

Christmas in July

July 11, 2018 2 Comments

Next week in my regular monthly papercraft class our theme will be Christmas In July and I've been putting together some new designs using old, but still available, Stampin' Up! products. The first set I grabbed was the Snowflake Sentiments Stamp Set, which has some lovely large sentiments as well as smaller sentiments that could be used on the inside of a card.  It also has some great coordinating images. One particular sentiment "Wrapped in the warmth of Christmas' caught my eye and from ... VIEW POST

Thinking of you card created using the Beautiful Promenade Stamp Set and coordinating Beautiful Layers Thinlits Dies from Stampin' Up!

Beautiful Promenade

July 7, 2018 10 Comments

Yesterday I was searching for something entirely different when I came across a box of mini chocolates that I'd purchased last year in Amsterdam.  The colours inspired me in my papercrafting this morning, and as I know I don't have any windmill images I pulled out the Beautiful Promenade Stamp Set instead. I began by looking for an appropriate blue ink.  Blueberry Bushel ink was a bit dark, but Bashful Blue was too light.  To solve my problem I stamped the sentiment and separate blue ... VIEW POST

It's a Boy card and It's a Girl gift tag created by Tracy Elsom using the Sweet Baby Stamp Set and coordinating Bouncing Baby Framelits from Stampin' Up!

All bundled up

June 27, 2018 2 Comments

A few days ago I created a cute baby card to showcase two new Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folders from Stampin' Up! called Tufted and Subtle.  I mentioned that there were coordinating dies available for the Sweet Baby Stamp Set and for today's Watch on Wednesday project I decided to use the stamps and dies bundle to create a gift tag and bonus card. As promised in the video, here's the details: To create the It's a Girl! gift tag I used 1/4" sheet of Very Vanilla Card and a ... VIEW POST
