Nothing’s better than? Well that depends on the situation. First thing in the morning it’s a nice hot cup of coffee for me. After a few days of rushing around, it’s the chance to have a lie-in. When my schedule has been filled with things I have to do for other people, it’s having time to myself. Most often I’ll spend that in my craft studio. It’s where I go to de-stress and exercise my creativity. So for this week’s simple Sunday blog post this stamp set seemed particularly appropriate. ... VIEW POST
Very Best Trio Punch
Today’s simple project features the cute little kangaroo from the Count On Me Stamp Set. However it was actually just an afterthought following the main purpose of this post. What I really wanted to show you was my hack for using the Very Best Trio Punch. I use this punch at least once a week, if not more, and love the slot option. Punching it in the centre of a strip of card has, to date, involved measuring and marking the centre with a pencil & ruler, but no more! TRIO PUNCH ... VIEW POST
Gnomes The Easy Way
Several months ago I created a custom background using the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks. In fact it was only after making a bookmark it that I thought it might be useful to film the process. Of course having done that I then had another custom background, and it’s been sitting on my desk ever since. Well I’ve finally got around to using part of that piece to create today’s project. That was after I realised that one of the gnomes in the Storybook Gnomes paper and the background coordinated ... VIEW POST
Mini Pocket Envelopes
A couple of weeks ago I created a wedding gift card holder using the Mini Pocket Envelope Dies. At the time I promised that I’d be creating some short videos showing you the ten dies in the set and how to use them. Today I have the first in that series. I thought it made most sense to start with the largest die which makes the actual pocket. Of course, having made the gift card holder I had to decorate it and used two more dies from this great set. MAKING THE POCKET In today's video ... VIEW POST
A Piece Of Autumn
Yesterday was a little scary weather-wise with a torrential downpour as I was driving home. Thankfully it only lasted about 10 minutes but it was enough to break the oppressive heat we’ve had. This was followed by a series of thunderstorms, punctuated by a gorgeous sunset which I neglected to photograph! I’m enjoying these late summer days knowing it won’t be long before the change of season begins. This morning it’s much fresher and I was inspired to create this thank you card using the Fond Of ... Tags Dies Altered Again
A little while ago I created a bookmark and included a video showing how I made the 5-1/2” long base using a much shorter cutting die. I love being able to get more from all my crafting tools and today’s project is another take on that. However this time I used one of the Tailor Made Tags Dies to create a smaller piece. So now my sentiment label would coordinate perfectly with the tag base. Then using a few scraps left over from earlier projects I created this Christmas tag. BASIC ... VIEW POST
