Do you follow my Papercraft With me Facebook page? If so you may have spotted a quick Live I did yesterday while creating a project using the Curved Occasions Stamp Set. It’s been months since I last pulled out my Watercolor Pencils. In fact if my product links are to be believed, I haven’t used them since last January! That really surprises me as they’re a quick and easy way to add colour, whether or not water is added. So as promised, here’s the finished “Miss you” card with ... VIEW POST
Beside Me Again
When I started my sneak peeks for the January to April 2023 Mini Catalogue my first project featured the Beside Me Stamp Set. Well as that was last year I decided it was time to pull out the set again. The main reason I bought the Beside Me Stamp Set was for the three line-art masculine figures. After Stampin’ Up! released sets with female figures several years ago I’d pointed out via their ‘suggestion box’ that we need male figures too. Today I couldn’t resist using another of those ... Gnomes Announcement
When I designed this card during my personal “24 cards in 24 hours” challenge I had a feeling that the gnomes' days would be numbered. It’s a great stamp set but typical of those that are only available for a single catalogue. Of course I hoped I was wrong but sadly not., the Kindest Gnomes Stamp Set and Storybook Gnomes paper are both on the retiring list. What isn’t there though is the Gnomes Dies. That’s because there’s a new stamp set with coordinating spring/summer themed gnomes coming very ... VIEW POST
Hydrangea Inspiration
Yesterday like so many people I was up early to watch the State Funeral for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. I’m originally from the UK and lived most of my life just 4 km (2-1/2 miles) from Windsor Castle. As the funeral procession wound through London and later through the countryside I saw places that were all too familiar to me. It was a day that will never be forgotten. So today’s project was inspired by some of the flowers in her wreath and features the Hydrangea Haven Stamp ... VIEW POST
Inspired By Sadness
Yesterday was a momentous day as we learned of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. While we were separated by an ocean, my daughter and I watched the news unfold. Having heard that the Royal Family were all converging on Balmoral Castle in Scotland we knew things were not good. However when the news finally broke it still brought with it a sense of shock. We have never known a world without The Queen. Her selfless sense of duty inspired many and her presence will be sorely ... VIEW POST
Gnomes Got Me Thinking
You know it’s really funny the things I think about when I’m crafting. Take this morning for instance. I decided I wanted to use the new Kindest Gnomes Stamp Set that I recently ordered from the July to December Mini Catalogue. I was attracted to this stamp set as soon as I saw it, and the fact that it had coordinating dies didn’t hurt either. But as I reached for the stamps I wondered about whether there were girl gnomes as well as boy gnomes. And suddenly there she was... KINDEST ... VIEW POST
