It’s no secret that I love colouring. Whether using markers, pencils or ink, I find colouring very relaxing. Of course I can’t draw to save my life which is why stamping is my passion. The stamp designer does the drawing and I just add the colour. So you can imagine my delight when I realised the Abigail Rose 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP) included sheets designed for that very reason. So I pulled out my Watercolor Pencils and set to work. Well it would be rude not to... ABIGAIL ROSE ... VIEW POST
A Mice Day To Retire
Today is May 25th and that means it’s only 7 months to Christmas. Just sayin’… But more importantly though it's also the day when Stampin’ Up! reveals the list of products being retired from the January to June 2022 Mini Catalogue. I’m still hoping that the New Horizons suite will be reprieved and we’ll get to play with it for a while longer. But just in case it isn’t I simply had to use that gorgeous paper, along with the definitely retiring Mischievous Mice (Host) Stamp Set, one last ... VIEW POST
Papaya And Mango Medley
Yesterday was a glorious day here in Nova Scotia. Hubby was finally able to repair the last of the winter storm damage and I can stop ‘reminding’ him about it. Meanwhile I got three full loads of laundry washed and dried outside. I may be a little odd but I love to see a line full of washing flapping in the breeze. With the chores done I also grabbed some time in my craft studio to create today’s simple Sunday project. Pale Papaya and Mango Melody provided the perfect combination. COLOURED ... VIEW POST
Caught Up In The Moment
I’ve always been enthralled by nature, and even more so since moving to Nova Scotia. We’re very fortunate to have a large piece of land that attracts all sorts of wildlife. Just recently we’ve been treated to daily visits from a number of white tailed deer and today was no exception. Although I counted 10 deer eating at various spots, what caught my attention was something just off to the side, two small fawns hidden in the long grass. At that moment I couldn’t help but simply stand and ... VIEW POST
Peony Bloom Held A Surprise
Yesterday Stampin’ Up! confirmed the timeline for the transition from the current Annual Catalogue to the new one. We already knew that the current catalogue ends on May 2nd, but now we also know the Retiring List will be revealed on March 23rd. That’s four weeks from today! The 2020-2022 In Colors are definitely going, along with most (if not all the patterned paper). Various stamp sets, dies, punches and embellishments will go too but they’re harder to predict. ... Seas The Day With This Fun Bundle
When the thermometer shows MINUS 15C outside, it's safe to say that it's cold! Unfortunately I have things that need to be done so I won't be able to hunker down in my craft studio. But if I clear that to do list, a full day of crafting tomorrow will be my reward. I don't really do cold, so today's thank you card project has a more tropical vibe. It's the first outing for the new Seas The Day Stamp Set and coordinating Sea Dies and I love the result. SEA FRAME This project all began ... VIEW POST
