Oh my, yesterday really got away from me! It started with an early medical appointment, then some quick errands, before visiting with a friend. The main reason was to drop off her latest Stampin’ Up! order but I stopped for a chat over coffee. She also loves to bake, so we had some of that too. We chatted for quite some time and I completely forgot I had a blog post to write, so albeit a day late here’s a quick and easy card featuring the Cutest Crew Stamp Set. I began by cutting a 5-1/2" x ... VIEW POST
Cutest Little Birdies
Easy Alphabet Sentiment
Do you enjoy watching movies? I do, even though I don’t often get to see them on the big screen. In fact I think the last few times I been to a cinema it’s been in the UK with one or more granddaughters. I like spotting popular movie references, like recently when my doctor explained the potential sides affects of abruptly stopping a new medication with the words “you might see dead people”! Today’s project features another movie reference using the Mini Alphabet Dies and Waterside Retreat ... VIEW POST
Waterside Thoughts
Today I have a lot of things to get done. In recent weeks and months it’s become clear to me that I could probably medal at the procrastination Olympics. So I’m using a combination of ‘brain dumping’ and ‘time blocking’ techniques to try to get myself back on track. First on today's list was to create a quick and easy card using the Waterside Retreat 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP). Two different but coordinating patterns, two colours of coordinating card and this is what I came up ... VIEW POST
Artisan Sketched By Request
Last weekend I was working at a local bazaar that sells home baking and handcrafted items. It’s where I sell a lot of my finished cards and projects and get to meet the lovely people who purchase them. Although I try to keep a good variety of cards in stock, I wasn’t able to help a lady looking for a simple anniversary card (I only had ones for silver and golden anniversaries). So today I decided to remedy that by making this floral card using the Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper ... VIEW POST
Cute Start To Sunday
On Wednesday I made a card with a hand-coloured design. It wasn’t complicated by any means but sometimes I have to be in the mood to colour. When that doesn’t happen I’ll turn to patterned Designer Series Paper (DSP) for inspiration. Well inspiration certainly struck as I was looking through scraps of the Cute As A Bug DSP this morning. Among the scraps left over from previous projects I found two die-cut ants along with a hand-cut piece covered in tiny flowers, just enough for a sticky note pad ... VIEW POST
Sunday Salutations
Happy Sunday! It’s going to be another hot one here in Nova Scotia. Still, it could be worse. I have a number of things to get done but I’m going to pace myself. First up I wanted to bring you a quick masculine gift tag. I made this one a little while ago using scraps left on my desk after completing a card project. The striped paper is from the Waterside Retreat 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper Pack (DSP) and the sentiment is another from the Sending Salutations Stamp Set. The gift tag ... VIEW POST
