If you saw my Papercraft With Me Facebook page over the weekend you’ll know that the remnants of Hurricane Lee visited us here in Nova Scotia. As expected we lost power for a time during Saturday and there was nothing to do but ride it out. As well as reading, I spent time in my craft studio. Without power I couldn’t use my Heat Tool, but everything else was available to me. So I decided to create a wedding card while getting the shining gold from paper, ribbon and embellishments. Wonderful Realisation
This morning got off to a slow start after I woke up with back ache. Fortunately some gentle exercise has resolved it and I can now get on with the rest of my day. First I needed to make a “congratulations” card for a wedding I’ll be attending at the end of the month. I wanted the sentiment to be elegant and so immediately reached for the Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set. Happiness Is Being Storm Ready
It’s Christmas Eve Eve and happiness is knowing we’re ready for a coming storm. The extreme winter weather that’s currently gripping most of Canada and the US is expected to arrive here later today. Fortunately we’re being spared the extreme cold, but it’s the wind and rain that has us worried. It’s possible that trees already weakened by Hurricane Fiona in October could bring down power lines. Having been left without power for 10 days then, we’re not taking any chances this time around. ... VIEW POST
A Paper Pumpkin Thing: Sweet Sunflowers
It’s the first Friday in September and that means I’m taking part in the A Paper Pumpkin Thing blog hop. Pocket Envelope Dies
It’s Friday, yay! Yesterday was a busy one for me with a longer to-do list than I’d have liked. Still, I managed to get through it all.
