The end of May is fast approaching and so it's time to reflect on the Stampin' Up! January to June Mini Catalogue. While technically the sales period for this mini catalogue runs to the end of June, we'll hear about retiring products much sooner. Unlike previous years, we already know quite a lot simply by looking in the 2021/2022 Annual Catalogue. Some products have been carried over, although many of the discounted bundles have not. But what about the rest? Although there's a possibility ... VIEW POST
A Little Lighthearted Sunday Banter
I love Sundays. It's a day to relax and unwind, maybe read a book, or sit and watch a movie. It's also the day when I plan for the week ahead. I don't necessarily get everything done, but at least I know what I'd like to achieve. Some weeks are more successful than others. Of course making a plan means pulling out one of my many notebooks, or decorating a new one. So when I got the new Lighthearted Lines Stamp Set that was the first project on my list. For me Sundays also mean simple ... VIEW POST
Thanks, Merci, Danke And More
Have you ever bought an embossing folder and been a bit underwhelmed when it finally arrived? I know I have, although rarely with Stampin' Up! Still, it makes me think very carefully about what embossing folders I decide to buy. This week I finally got my hands on one of the double packs of embossing folders designed for the Mini Cut & Emboss Machine. Thanks & Hello was my first choice from the 2021/2022 Annual Catalogue and oh my goodness they are amazing! Despite their compact ... VIEW POST
It’s A Casual Shirt & Tie Kind Of Day
It's the weekend and where I am it's going to be a miserable rainy day. So there's nothing to do except put on something comfy, stay in and craft. After a couple of weeks playing with products from the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue I thought it was time for a change. There's been a lot of florals just recently too so today I wanted to bring you something a bit more masculine. The Handsomely Suited Stamp Set and coordinating Suit & Tie Dies were just what I needed... WELL ... VIEW POST
Treasures Of Life In My Own Arms
I've always loved the Treasures Of Life Stamp Set. It called to me as a grandparent, and even more so as I have two new twin granddaughters. I say new, they're already seven weeks old, but despite being born more than 5 weeks early they avoided special care and are thriving. I've been very lucky and managed to travel to the UK, and am very grateful I can spend time with the family. So the "and the love only grows" sentiment from the Treasures of Life Stamp Set on today's project really ... VIEW POST
Wonderful As You For Retirement or Sympathy
Many people find it hard to make sympathy cards and I used to be one of them. But over the past year or so I realised that for me the solution lies in keeping everything simple. So that means elegant, often neutral backgrounds, with minimal embellishments or layers. The sentiment is really the focal point, and for today's card I found what I needed in the Wonderful As You Stamp Set. WELL SUITED BACKGROUND I began the project by choosing the background paper. In fact I found two that ... VIEW POST
