Yesterday I spent a few hours in my studio pulling out all the Stampin' Up! products that are retiring. My plan is, while a product remains available for you to buy, I'll continue to make projects for my blog using it. Over the coming weeks you'll still see new projects, but I'll also add links to some older ones. That way you can get one final overview of a particular stamp set or product while you still have the opportunity to get it. Today's project uses 3 retiring products. The Wood ... VIEW POST
Gingham Apron And A Wooden Spoon
When I went to senior school basic needlework and home economics classes were compulsory for the first year. The very first thing we had to sew was an apron that we would use throughout our cooking lessons. I remember mine was gingham. I also remember those first lessons in the kitchen were very basic, with instruction on which utensils were used for what purpose. You know it's funny what inspires my papercrafting projects. Like today's memory compelling me to include a wooden spoon in this ... VIEW POST
Cake Builder Punch Is Back!
Before I sit down to write my blog post I always check the news, and especially the news from Stampin' Up! Sometimes, like today, it influences the project I show you. So I can't tell you how excited I was when I saw that the Cake Builder Punch is back in stock and available to order again. That also means that you can now also order the Piece of Cake Stamp Set bundle that includes this punch. Woo hoo! BLUE FOR A BOY For today's project I'd already decided that I'd make a more ... Country Images
Sometimes I pick up a stamp set with a particular idea in mind and then something else occurs to me. Like yesterday with Let It Ride. That's the stamp set with the lovely horse images and sentiments. I decided that I simply had to combine it with Country Livin' and ended up with this gift tag. RUSTIC TAG BASE I began by making my tag base. Taking a 2" x 3-1/2" piece of Thick Very Vanilla Card I covered one side with some of the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper using Multipurpose ... VIEW POST
Stampin’ Blends Rules Broken Again
I admit it, I have a serious infatuation with my Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. Over the past 9 months I've gradually acquired them all and now have a wonderful array of colours to choose from. While Stampin' Blends are designed to blend beautifully, I love them for another reason as well. Unlike Stampin' Write Markers, the alcohol in Stampin' Blends means that you can colour large areas without tell-tale lines. There's also a translucent quality to the colouring which is simply ... Live Life Make Memories
One of the things I've noticed about my daughter (and others of her generation) is that they take a lot of photos. What I've also noticed is that they rarely, if ever, make it out of electronic format. I know it's nice to have photos at your fingertips but sometimes printed photos are nicer. I love being able to share and talk about memories while flicking through an actual photo album. Sharing memories doesn't mean you have to create elaborate 12" x 12" scrap book pages. I've done that ... VIEW POST
