We're now at the point where retiring products are selling out and others are showing as low inventory. So that makes it harder for me to create projects using items are still available to buy. Today I managed it using my favourite but retiring Wrapped in Christmas Stamp Set. I paired it with the tree-scape die from the retiring Home Together Dies. Then I overlaid that onto a stunning design from the retiring Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper (DSP). BRIGHTLY GLEAMING ... VIEW POST
Retiring List Is Finally Revealed
A couple of days ago Stampin' Up! revealed the list of products that will be retiring from the August to December Mini Catalogue. Sadly a few of my favourites were on the list, but thankfully not all. So over the next few weeks I'll be making new projects before some of these retiring products sell out. Today's simple Sunday project actually uses three items from the Retiring List. 'TIS THE SEASON FOR RETIRING PRODUCTS I must be honest and say that I never did get the retiring Cherish ... VIEW POST
Window Sheet For A Giftcard Holder
Sometimes I find a really pretty giftcard and it seems a shame to hide it away. So for today's project I decided to let the giftcard be the centre of attention. With the help of some Window Sheet, it really can become the focal point of a card. WINDOW AND FRAME I started this project with a basic Whisper White Note Card & Envelope. My plan was simple, cut a window in the front of the card to allow the giftcard to show through. After folding the note card along the pre-scored ... VIEW POST
Create A Rosette Ornament From Pretty Paper
Our winter to summer to winter roller-coaster continues here in Nova Scotia. Right now it's just a little above freezing, a far cry from the 20 degrees C of a couple of days ago. So is it any wonder that I was thinking 'Christmas' this morning. Today I have a 'two-for-one' type project. Is it a rosette ornament or is it a gift tag? Perhaps it's both... ROSETTE IN EASY STEPS I love making these rosette decorations using strips of Designer Series Paper (DSP). This one is about 3-1/4" ... VIEW POST
Candy Canes And Snowflakes
So what happened was... the clocks went back which meant there was an extra hour in bed. Except I obviously needed more. Much more. So after I'd finally got up and showered I sat down to create a quick candy cane holder for today's simple Sunday project. CANDY CANE HOLDER This hanging candy cane holder really is quick and easy to make. I began with a 2" x 10-1/4" strip of paper from the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. This would be perfect for my 1/2" x 4" candy ... VIEW POST
Creating A Gift Tag With Texture
Yesterday afternoon I was in a gift tag kind of mood. I often sit and make a batch of gift tags as a way to develop ideas. I might have a stamp set that lends itself to tag sentiments, or small scraps of card or paper to use up. Or sometimes it's a punch, die or embossing folder that inspires me. This tag was a combination of all three, and I love how it turned out. A LITTLE SOMETHING This tag started with my favourite stamp set, Wrapped In Christmas. The "a little something for ... VIEW POST
