When I think of winter occasions I almost always think of Christmas and that's where I started today. But as I was designing this project it occurred to me that there are lots of other times a card may be needed in the winter. People become ill or pass away, they get married, have babies and birthdays too. Then it dawned on me that simple snowflakes could be appropriate on any of these other cards. Choosing colours for my projects isn't always easy but I have learned a few tricks over the years. One of them is to cheat. Did you know that Stampin' Up! lists the colours of their Designer Series Paper (DSP) packs on the packs and in the catalogues? What is it that inspires you to create a particular project? Is it the need to make something for a specific person or occasion? Or does your mood or feelings lead you? As I create something new everyday I find my inspiration all over the place. Today it was the perfect storm of rediscovering gorgeous paper and glancing at a new stamp set.
