With a little over two weeks until Christmas it's time to get wrapping. Of course that means more gift tags. When I first started papercrafting I tended to concentrate on cards, probably just like most people. But then I discovered the pleasure of designing and making gift tags. Today's tag is quite simple in its design, but the added texture really makes it special. The Wrapped In Texture Embossing Folder, patterned paper and ribbon are all retiring, so only available while stocks ... VIEW POST
A Paper Pumpkin Thing – Joy To The World
It's the last Thursday of the month and that means it's time for another A Paper Pumpkin Thing blog hop. This month we've been playing with the October 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit - Joy To The World. And what a joy it has been. With Christmas fast approaching it seems like there's so much more to do and a lot less time to do it. So although I have two alternate card ideas for you they can be done in next to no time. JOY OF SIMPLICITY My first project didn't use any materials that ... VIEW POST
Creating A Gift Tag With Texture
Yesterday afternoon I was in a gift tag kind of mood. I often sit and make a batch of gift tags as a way to develop ideas. I might have a stamp set that lends itself to tag sentiments, or small scraps of card or paper to use up. Or sometimes it's a punch, die or embossing folder that inspires me. This tag was a combination of all three, and I love how it turned out. A LITTLE SOMETHING This tag started with my favourite stamp set, Wrapped In Christmas. The "a little something for ... VIEW POST
Christmas Gleaming Revisited
With the Designer Series Paper sale on until the end of the month I'd planned to use DSP in today's project. I even got so far as to cut the paper and glue it to some card. But then I realised that it was a distraction and set it aside to use on a future project. That happens sometimes and I'm OK with it. In the end I couldn't be happier with how my Christmas Gleaming project turned out. CHRISTMAS GLEAMING This tag project all began with the amazing holly image from the Christmas ... VIEW POST
Today’s Plan May Involve Chocolate
Well this morning has been eventful with my computer crashing for the second time in a week. It seems like I can't put off replacing it any longer. Apart from the cost, I'm not looking forward to having to transfer my programs and files. So in preparation perhaps I should begin storing some of my thousands of crafting photos onto disks instead. Then I really should think seriously about what I need from my next machine. It looks like it could be a day to break out the ... VIEW POST
Simply A Textured Country Scene
Despite the Christmas and winter projects I've been making recently I'm still not quite ready to give up on summer. We can see the leaves changing colour and there's a chill in the morning air, but hopefully there's little more of the season left to enjoy. So instead of my planned autumn project today I ended up with a greener country scene pocket photo album. COUNTRY SCENE I began with the pocket photo album I'd purchased recently at the Dollar Store. It's designed to be used with 4" ... VIEW POST
