I read somewhere that today is International Scrapbooking Industry Day, not to be confused with National Scrapbook Day which this year is on May 4th. Still, it's a great day to announce Well Said as the featured stamp set for this week's What Will You Stamp? Challenge. As soon as I saw this set I knew I needed it for my stash. It's a red rubber stamp set containing 51 individual stamps with cling mount labels. There's individual words and a variety of phrases and longer sentiments. In ... VIEW POST
Incredible Like You for #WWYS208
Some stamps sets attract me because of the images, some because of the sentiments, and some for both. I must admit that the Incredible Like You Stamp Set was more about the sentiments for me. I love the two fonts used for each one, crisp clear and easy to read. They're a good size too so you won't miss them on a project. So the focus of my Design Team contribution for this week's What Will You Stamp? challenge, WWYS208 Incredible Like You, should come as no surprise. CONTRASTING ... VIEW POST
Monochrome Lily for WWYS207
I've been playing with a lot of colour just lately, probably to offset the lack of bright colours in my garden. So I thought I'd embrace the outdoors for my Design Team project for this week's What Will You Stamp? challenge. The challenge is #WWYS207 Lasting Lily, showcasing a free stamp set from the 2019 Sale-A-Bration Brochure. First I chose my colour palette. Thick Whisper White for the card base and Whisper White for the stamped layers. I'd use just one ink colour, Memento Tuxedo ... VIEW POST
Lovely Lattice for #WWYS205
Many years ago when I first started papercrafting I was introduced to the 'blockfill technique'. The challenge was getting the dark colour without telltale streaks, but the new Basic Black Stampin' Blends now makes this possible. So as soon as I saw the Lovely Lattice Stamp Set I was determined to ... VIEW POST
Meant To Be for WWYS204
Yesterday for my Simple Sunday project I altered a dreamy design from the Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) and made it quite graphic. Today for my What Will You Stamp? Challenge Design Team project I went back to the same paper pack. This time though I chose one of the gorgeous printed vellum sheets for challenge #WWYS204. I suppose you could say it was 'meant to be'. A SIMPLE START I began my project with some Thick Whisper White Card, cut and scored using my ... VIEW POST
Colorful Seasons Colourful Tag
This week the What Will You Stamp? challenge is WWYS203 Colorful Seasons. This is a stamp set I haven't used in a little while and it was nice to revisit it. It also gave me an excuse to use the Grapefruit Grove Foil Sheet that I chose as my free Sale-A-Bration product with my last order. COLORFUL SEASONS As we're battening down the hatches for a big winter storm, I dream of warmer weather. Well less stormy at least. So I decided to create a large gift tag with pretty florals in ...
