One of the reasons I love stamping is because it makes me feel artistic, even though my drawing skills are childlike to say the least. It’s also why I love Stampin’ Up!’s pretty Designer Series Paper (DSP). So when I get to combine the two I’m in heaven. Another reason I love their DSP is it gives me ideas. Take the Zoo Crew paper. The minimal colouring of the various critters inspired me to try the same thing with images from the Zany Zoo Stamp Set, and this birthday card was the ... VIEW POST
Zany Singing Tortoise
Have you ever bought a stamp set or dies and forgotten to use them? It’s not something that happens to me very often as I keep new things stacked on my desk. Then once they’ve been used I move them to their permanent spot with the rest of my current products. However I obviously got distracted when it came to the Zany Zoo Stamp Set and Dies. That’s why I was completely shocked to find that today’s project is the first time I’ve used the dies, and the stamps remain un-inked! MERRY ... VIEW POST
Zoo Crew Sloth
It’s Sunday and day two of the long weekend here in Nova Scotia. Three day weekends are great as I get a bonus day to play in my craft studio. That’s especially exciting as my latest Stampin’ Up! order was delivered last Thursday and I still have lots of goodies to explore. Meanwhile I’m having fun mixing and matching things I’ve had a bit longer. So for today’s simple Sunday project I created this card using a sloth from the Zoo Crew 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. ZOO CREW ... VIEW POST
Zoo Crew Inspiration
I’m not entirely sure lions like toasted marshmallows, however that’s one of the fun scenes included in the Zoo Crew 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. Like most of the individual animal images on the various sheets there’s only a little bit of colour, but for me that’s one of the big attractions. You see it means that I have the option to add more colour if I want. In fact it’s something I’ve done a few times using Stampin’ Blends and I simply love the final effect. CAMPING AT THE ... Can You Bear To Read?
Today, May 6th 2023 I shall be crafting with one eye on the television as I watch the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III. Like the funeral of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II this is history in the making. I must say it’s weird when I read about a historical event and realise I watched it happen live! Of course I know not everyone is interested in today’s events, but possibly the only way to avoid them is to turn off all your electronic devices and do something else instead. So with ... VIEW POST
Daisies And More
At last the Stampin’ Up! 2023/2024 Annual Catalogue is live and products are available for customers to buy. Over the past week I’ve brought you sneak peeks of just a few of the items I was able to buy in advance. Now, like you I’m able to choose from the entire catalogue. But with a limited budget it’s hard to know what to prioritise first. In the end I settled on some additional cardstock in some of my favourite new colours along with some ink pads and Stampin’ Blends. Then I added in a few ... VIEW POST
