It’s not even 7 am on December 1st and I’m already running behind! So much to do so little time. Today’s project is a very quick one using the Timeless Tidings Project Kit. I was going to post this later in the month but to be honest the kit might have sold out by then.
The Timeless Tidings Project Kit has been extremely popular and has just come back into stock after being on backorder for a while. It contains enough supplies for 20 cards (5 each of 4 designs) plus 20 envelopes edged in gold foil. Despite its popularity I suspect that this is one of the items that will be on the Retiring List on December 5th so it’s not going to be as timeless as we’d hoped.
SPARKLING TREES AND SKY
I began with the green landscape card base from the kit and a Fine-Tip Glue Pen. Without squeezing the bottle I added some tiny dots of glue randomly over the top (black) portion of the card front. Then I sprinkled the card with Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter, tapped off the excess and set the card aside to dry.
Next I took the long tree panel from the kit, trimmed it down to 3-1/2″ wide and set aside the off-cut to use on another project. Using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen I then added small random horizontal lines of glue on the trees. As before I sprinkled the glue with glitter, tapped off the excess and set it aside to dry.
MERRY CHRISTMAS
The Merry Christmas sentiment comes from the coordinating Timeless Tidings Stamp Set. I chose the long banner piece from the Timeless Tidings Project Kit and stamped the sentiment onto it using Tuxedo Black ink.
While I had the stamp set to hand I looked for an image I could use to coordinate the pieces of the project. I chose the scribbled tree and stamped it on the inside of the card and the front of the envelope in the bottom right corner.
Once the glitter was dry I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) to attach the tree panel to some Very Vanilla Card. Then I fixed that to the front of the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
TIP – There’s a printed line along the green section of the card base used to help line up a sticker in the original kit design. I planned the placement of my tree and sentiment pieces to cover up that line.
Finally I added the sentiment, stacking the Stampin’ Dimensionals to keep the right-hand end at the same height as the left.
Job done.
TIMELESS TIDINGS PROJECT KIT
I mentioned that the Timeless Tidings Project Kit is designed to make 4 different Christmas card designs. That’s great, but not everyone wants 5 of each card.
If you’re one of those people, fear not. For I have created 16 alternate designs (including this one) that you can make using the kit and a few other supplies.
I’ll be sending a PDF tutorial for all 16 designs to anyone who orders the Timeless Tidings Project Kit and coordinating Timeless Tidings Stamp Set through me. All you need to do is make sure that you allow Stampin’ Up! to share your details with me. Otherwise I’ll see an order has been placed but will have no idea who placed it or where to send the tutorial.
This kit has already sold out once and I suspect that once the current supplies have been exhausted that will be it. So if you are thinking of getting this kit, please do so as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Well that’s it from me for today. Whatever you have planned, I hope you’re able to find some time to be creative.
