I was up early and had no distractions this morning, so why am I running SO late? Today’s project is another #simplestamping card, this time with a sentiment and carnation image from the Inspiring Iris Stamp Set.

SAVE TIME
I decided to save time by using a pre-cut and scored Whisper White Notecard and Envelope for my base. All I did was fold the card along the scored line and sharpen the crease with a Bone Folder.
Then using Basic Gray ink I stamped the “wishing you the best” sentiment in the bottom right corner.
TWO-STEP CARNATION
Inspiring Iris is a two-step stamp set which provides an outline of each flower and stamps to fill in the colour too.

On a piece of Whisper White Card I first stamped the carnation outline using Basic Gray ink. Then I inked up the flower head using Rococo Rose ink and ‘stamped-off’ onto some scrap paper before stamping onto the flower outline. Finally I finished the carnation by stamping the stem with Mint Macaron ink.
Quick, easy and very delicate, I loved how my flower looked and decided to use that as my coordinating element.
So using the same ink colours I stamped the carnation on the inside of the notecard in the bottom right corner. Then I stamped it on the front of the notecard envelope too.
All that was left was to mount the Whisper White piece onto a layer of Rococo Rose Card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow). Then I added it to the front of the notecard with Stampin’ Dimensionals and my #simplestamping card was done.
The Inspiring Iris Stamp Set does have an iris image too. You can see this on a project in my blog post Life inspiring my crafting.
