Yay it’s the weekend and time to chill. So I’ve got a really quick card project for you. The cute zebra image is one of three in the Zany Zebras Stamp Set. However for the large sentiment I pulled out the sentiment only Happy Thoughts Stamp Set .

ZEBRA TIMES THREE
My project began with the cute smiling zebra image and a Tuxedo Black ink pad. First I stamped the zebra on the front of a Whisper White Medium Envelope in the bottom right-hand corner . Then I stamped him in the bottom right-hand corner of a 4″ x 5-1/2″ layer of Whisper White Card.
Finally I stamped the zebra in the bottom right-hand corner of a 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ piece of Whisper White Card. Then from the Happy Thoughts Stamp Set I chose “I just wanted to send some happy thoughts your way”. Using Tuxedo Black ink I stamped it in the space beside the zebra.
To finish off I wanted to add a little extra pop of colour. So I took a Melon Mambo Stampin’ Write Marker from the Brights collection and coloured the zebras’ ears and mouths.
SIMPLE LAYERS
Now the stamping and colouring was done all I needed was to create some simple layers.

First, using my Paper Trimmer I cut and scored a piece of Basic Black Card. Then I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder to create the card base.
Next, using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow), I mounted the sentiment layer onto a 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ piece of Mango Melody Card. Then I attached the assembled layer to the front of the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
That just left one piece of white card with the zebra in the corner. So using liquid glue I fixed this piece inside the card base and my super quick project was complete.

This zebra image really makes me smile, and I’m hoping this set won’t retire just yet as I haven’t played with it nearly enough. If you want to see more projects featuring the Zany Zebra Stamp Set check out these earlier blog posts:
