Do you follow my Papercraft With me Facebook page? If so you may have spotted a quick Live I did yesterday while creating a project using the Curved Occasions Stamp Set. It’s been months since I last pulled out my Watercolor Pencils. In fact if my product links are to be believed, I haven’t used them since last January! That really surprises me as they’re a quick and easy way to add colour, whether or not water is added. So as promised, here’s the finished “Miss you” card with instructions.

CURVED OCCASIONS SIMPLICITY
I started very simply when I chose the bouquet image from the Curved Occasions Stamp Set. Using Early Espresso ink I stamped the bouquet towards the top of a 2-3/4″ x 4″ piece of Very Vanilla Card. Having stamped the image I realised that I wanted to use it as my coordinating element. So also I stamped the bouquet onto the flap of a Very Vanilla Medium Envelope. Then I cut a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla Card and stamped it across the bottom right corner.
Now all I had to do was colour in them in using pencils from the the Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2. For the flowers I used a combination of Coastal Cabana and Night of Navy. On the leaves and stems I began with Granny Apple Green and then added some Garden Green. That just left the tiny leaf/berry stems in the bouquet and for these I chose Cherry Cobbler.

To finish I coloured the bouquet wrappings using Crushed Curry followed by a little Cajun Craze, before completing the three bows in Night of Navy.
With the images done I used my Paper Trimmer to cut and score some Thick Very Vanilla Card. Then I folded the card along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder. Next I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) to fix the larger Very Vanilla layer on the inside. All I needed now was to assemble the card front.
However as I went to add the smaller Very Vanilla piece I realised something was missing. So it was back to the stamp set for the curved “miss you” sentiment. Then using Early Espresso ink I stamped it below the bouquet image.
Finally I cut a 2-7/8″ x 4-1/8″ piece of Basic Black Card and glued the Very Vanilla layer on top. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals I attached the assembled layers to the centre of the card front and at last my project was complete.
Today’s project is a perfect example of ‘less is more’, with a clean layout and simple colouring. I hope you like it.
