DOTTING THE I

All the products I used to create this Christmas card are in the product list below but I thought a couple of things might need explaining. Like what prompted me to add that snowflake from the Christmas Layers Dies over the i.

It’s quite simple really.

I cut the word Christmas from some Lovely Lipstick Card using a die from the Merry Christmas Dies. Then as you’d expect I removed all the waste pieces from the word and the die. It was only as I began putting the card together that I realised I’d also thrown away the dot. Instead of searching for it, or cutting another one I decided to see it as an opportunity to embellish. I quite like the result too.

COASTAL WEAVE BACKGROUND

I must say though that my favourite part of the card is the textured background created using the new Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder. This will be available to customers from January 3rd once the Stampin’ Up! January to June Mini Catalogue goes live.

Although this is obviously a Christmas card, it would be perfect for other occasions too. Simply change the die cut word for something more suitable. There are lots of options in the Well Written Dies and the Word Wishes Dies. In fact I’ll add them to the end of my product list just in case you haven’t seen these yet.
