My plan this morning was to create a gift tag, and in that I succeeded. However what I hadn’t planned for was to use yet another free product from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. But this morning Stampin’ Up! issued some clarification about the Host stamp set, Punch Party. More about that later, but first the project I ended up making.

FOLDED GIFT TAG
With the Punch Party Stamp Set on my mind I decided to use that for my gift tag. I began by cutting a 2-5/8″ x 2-5/8″ piece of Whisper White Card for the main layer. This would be the perfect size for my two chosen stamps.
First, using VersaMark ink I stamped the sentiment, “oh, baby! you are already loved more than you know”, in the centre. Next I sprinkled the sticky ink with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and tapped off the excess. Then after removing a few stray specks, I melted the rest of the powder using my Heat Tool set on 2 (high).
Now I could see where the sentiment was, I stamped the heart image around it using Flirty Flamingo ink. It fitted perfectly and I love the delicate detail in the image.
With that done I cut a 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ piece of Smoky Slate Card. Then I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) to mount the stamped layer on top.

For my tag base I cut and scored a 3″ x 6″ piece of Flirty Flamingo Card. Then I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder.
Before attaching my layers to the front I first needed a hole for the twine. So using the Detailed Trio Punch I punched an oval hole at the top near the crease. I threaded some Whisper White Baker’s Twine (from the Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack) through the hole and tied it in a simple knot.
On the inside of the tag I added a 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ piece of Whisper White Card using liquid glue. Then I attached the stamped layers onto the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Finally I tied a small bow using some more Whisper White Baker’s Twine and fixed it to the edge of the heart with a Mini Glue Dot. With that my sweet baby gift tag was complete.
PUNCH PARTY CORRECTION
The Punch Party Stamp Set can be found on page 17 of the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. It is a free stamp set that is earned by the Host of a party that achieves at least $375 CAD in sales (before shipping and taxes). If hosting a party isn’t an option, you can also earn it by placing your own qualifying order. What’s more this is in addition to any other free Sale-A-Bration products earned and selected by the Host or her friends.
In the brochure it says that the Punch Party Stamp Set coordinates with three different punch items: the Double Oval Punch, the Regular Postage Stamp Punch and the Heart Punch Pack. Today Stampin’ Up! clarified that while it does coordinate with the Heart Punch Pack the heart-shaped image is not an exact match. I haven’t got the Heart Punch Pack so I can’t tell you exactly how close a match it actually is. However the sentiment used today does fit inside the punch. That said, I love this stamp set and am so pleased I was able to earn it simply by placing my own large order.
