Another bad pun but the new Animal Outing Stamp Set from the Stampin’ Up! 2018/2019 Annual Catalogue just makes me laugh.
Today’s simple Sunday project is a quick and easy 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ notecard without a sentiment that could be useful for just about any short message you need to send.
I took one of the new Whisper White Memories & More Cards & Envelopes in the small size, folded it along the pre-scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder.
Using Crumb Cake ink I stamped the rhino and bird image on the front of the notecard, and also coming in from the bottom right-hand corner on the front of the envelope.
With new Call Me Clover ink I stamped the end of the branch image coming in from the right-hand side on the front of the card and repeated the stamping on the inside.
I squeezed the lids of the closed ink pads so that I could use a Blender Pen to pick up up some ink to colour the images; the branches and grass with Call Me Clover and the rhino with Crumb Cake. Finally I used the Blender Pen to add a little f the new Pineapple Punch and Grapefruit Grove inks to the bird and I was done.
This really was a quick and easy project to do and would be an ideal project when you need notecards in bulk.
Here’s a closer look at the complete Animal Outing Stamp Set which will be available from June 1st by itself, or you’ll be able to get it as part of a discounted bundle with the coordinating Animal Friends Thinlits Dies. The dies cut out the 4 main images from this stamp set as well as having 3 other accent pieces.
I told you it was a simple Sunday project, I hope you’ll join me again tomorrow for a project combining old (well retiring at least) and new.
