I was very late to the party when it come to stamp sets designed to be used ‘collage style’. I suppose just didn’t understand the odd combination of images, and how they could ever make a nice project. Now of course things are very different, and as soon as I saw the Very Versailles Stamp Set I knew I had to get it. So when I sat down to make today’s project I wanted to showcase this very pretty set without bringing in any others.

A SIMPLE START
Very Versailles actually has a combination of images and sentiments which made it really easy to put this card together.
I began with a layer of Very Vanilla Card and used Rococo Rose ink to stamp the script image slightly off-centre. Then using Mint Macaron ink I added the leafy image. And there was my background.
Next I punched some Vellum Cardstock using the Starburst Punch. I attached the vellum in the bottom left corner of the background with a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) just around the centre of the circle. This would ensure the adhesive would remain hidden once my project was complete
Next I mounted the Very Vanilla layer onto a piece of Rococo Rose Card using liquid glue. Then I wrapped some Petal Pink 5/8″ Organdy Striped Ribbon around the layers and secured it on the back with Tear & Tape Adhesive. On top of that I attached a piece of the Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon.
For my card base I chose Petal Pink Card and attached the completed background layers to it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

VERY VERSAILLES
Going back to the Very Versailles Stamp Set I used Merry Merlot ink to stamp the “Have a beautiful day” sentiment onto some Very Vanilla Card. Then I punched out the sentiment using a 1-1/2″ Circle Punch.
I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the sentiment to the vellum layer and the card front was done.
To complete the project I went back to the leafy image from the Very Versailles Stamp Set.
Using Mint Macaron ink I stamped the image at the top of a layer of Very Vanilla Card. Then I fixed this piece inside the card base with liquid glue.
Finally I stamped the leafy image a couple of times along the top on the front of a Very Vanilla Medium Envelope. In no time at all my project was finished.
I’m really pleased with how my project turned out. This stamp set really did all the work for me. I knew the Very Versailles Stamp Set would make pretty cards and I certainly wasn’t disappointed. What do you think?
Well that’s all from me for today, I’m off to Truro, Nova Scotia for a craft fair at the Truro Fire Hall. If you happen to be in the area between 9am and 2pm do pop in and say hello.
