At this season’s craft fairs the notebooks and pads I’d created were really popular. People were buying them because they make great stocking fillers or secret Santa gifts. What’s more, apart from being useful they don’t add to the ‘stuff’ that becomes clutter. After all, once the notebook or pad is used up the cover can simply be recycled. So today I began making replacements to sell in the bazaar. Having found a pretty purple Post-It Notes® pad I reached for the gorgeous Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper (DSP).

QUICK COVER
I began with the 3″ x 3″ Post-It Notes pad and found it was a good match to Highland Heather Card. So using my Paper Trimmer I cut a 3-1/8″ x 4-1/2″ strip of the card. Then using the scoring blade I scored it at 3-1/8″ and 3-5/8″. Next, after folding along the scored lines, I sharpened the creases with a Bone Folder. Finally I wrapped the card over the Post-It Notes pad and secured it on the back using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.(Tombow).
On my desk I spotted a small pen left over from an earlier project and I decided to add it to my design. So I cut 4″ of Gold 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon and using some Tear & Tape Adhesive fixed one end of the ribbon to the back of the Post-It Notes cover at the top in the centre. Then I wrapped the ribbon around the pen before fixing the other end of the ribbon to the back of the pad. With that done I used liquid glue to fix the copvered pad to a 3-3/4″ x 4″ piece of Hightland Heather Card.
HUES OF HAPPINESS
For the top I started by cutting a 2-7/8″ x 2-7/8″ piece of Daffodil Delight Card. Then from the Hues of Happiness DSP pack I chose the purple end of a rainbow design and cut a piece 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″. Using liquid glue I mounted the DSP onto the Daffodil Delight Card, before adding it to the top of the Post-It Notes cover.

Going back to the Hues of Happiness DSP I found a design that had lots of individual flowers designed to coordinate with the Blossoming Happiness Dies. After finding the approporiate dies I cut out one single light yellow bloom plus three pairs of leaves.
Now I was ready to decorate the cover and started by attaching two pairs of leaves with liquid glue. Then with Stampin’ Dimensionals I added the flower followed by the last pair of leaves. Finally I added three Gorgeous Grape embellishments from the Glossy Dots Assortment and my project was complete.
Oh my goodness I love this little Post-It Notes pad. That Hues of Happiness paper really is bright and cheerful don’t you think?
